Hot Tub + Lake/Mountain Views: Gorgeous Grand Lake Retreat: 2 King Bed Suites

To all of our future amazing guests, we are so lucky to have met and hosted many amazing travelers over the years and you are in good hands, as we're longtime Superhosts and all of the other reviews left by past guests reflect this vacation home accurately. Regrettably this individual is a scammer who left this is a false, retaliatory review if we didn't pay her a full refund, which we declined and now she's filed a fraudulent chargeback. She admitted that she didn't read the property description or look at the location or helpful "distance to..." info that VRBO provides or the photos that we provide in the listing. We even offered her a full refund upon her arrival in Grand Lake once she realized she had booked in the wrong location (the address, turn-by-turn- directions and GPS coordinates had been sent to her 3 months earlier as well) and she declined this offer. Her and her party arrived nearly 2 hours before check-in time on a same day turnover without asking if early check-in was possible or communicating at all. She told our wonderful cleaner to "hurry it up" and our cleaner remained professional and let her know check-in was 4 p.m. but she'd do her best to have it ready for an early check-in. She booked for two guests but arrived with many more guests, then choose to send us approximately 50 messages over the course of her 2-night stay, through both the VRBO message center and via phone calls and text messages. We alerted VRBO, as it was clear this guest was a scammer trying to throw everything at us to see what would stick (including false claims) in exchange for a free stay in our family's home. Examples of what she'd reach out with were that "she was disgusted and extremely disappointed by a filthy garbage can." She sent a photo of 1 of the 10 cans in the home that was perfectly clean and had a small 3" piece of cardboard recycling in the bottom of it. The guests also departed after checkout time with no communication, delaying our cleaner and we absorbed those additional cleaning costs charged for waiting time. Lastly, the guest and her party caused almost $800 in damages to the deck from dragging furniture across it, bathroom tile, and a bed frame and we're working through those damages with VRBO currently. We're grateful for all of the amazing guests we have the opportunity to host and look forward to hosting you if you choose to book.
