We loved the Bodega Breeze. The beds were comfy, kitchen was well equipped. Style wise there was a perfect amount of new, refurbished and old. All the different outdoor spaces were very sweet. The 2 minute walk to the beach was excellent. A couple of the amenities were non operable and those are the only reason I didn’t give a 5. I would definitely want to rent again.

That it was two separate places so the people who wanted to stay up later could. Close walking to the beach. Well supplied with the kitchen utensils, seasoning. Nice hot tub and places to sit and relax. Internet worked well. Beds were plenty and relaing plenty of bathrooms for everyone. Thanks for sharing the home.

Beautiful spacious home right by the beach. Outdoor deck and barbecue which were perfect for meals and family time. Inside the home WiFi worked well and home was equipped with smart tv and record player. The studio was amazing small home for 2! There were also tons of family fun games, books and guidebook full of info on fun activities and eateries in the area. Downsides for us - the dryer did not work so unable to wash and dry clothes when wet from beach, and the inside living room fireplace was not operational to use at night to keep us cozy. Unfortunately, we reported this to the property mgmt and never got callback or email with apologies for stated amenities included on site not being available from the owner.

It has most of what we needed although a little extra attention to details would have been nice (missing coffee pot carafe, only one towel per person, no napkins or cooking oil, full outdoor trash cans upon arrival, etc.).

Short walk to beach

This property is a hidden gem for folks who want to really relax with family or a group of friends. It is a short walk to a beautiful beach and the location is perfect for exploring up and down the coastline. It has been stylishly remodeled inside. The stove is a little tricky to light but creates lots of warmth and atmosphere on foggy days. The studio apartment with its own kitchenette and TV is an extra bonus for groups or families with teens who want a little extra space buffer. Wifi worked well, but we didn't have any cell LTE signal. We were able to watch streaming tv by signing into our accounts. We did games and puzzles on the big dining table.Bedrooms are large and comfortable - lots of closet space.The kitchen was large and a nice place to make meals. Note that the cooktop is one of those flat glass ones that is pretty but instantly marked up with brown scorch marks when you use it -- the only way to clean it is with the special cooktop cleaner found under the sink.Also note that the main bedroom and living room have no curtains on some windows which is somewhat disconcerting at night.

Lovely weekend getaway

It was perfect to be able to walk just a minute to the sand. The home was clean and well equipped with items for doing our own cooking. The hot tub was a nice place to relax after a Long Beach day.

Reviewer Comments: We chose this property for a celebration of our daughter’s 18th birthday with a small group of her friends primarily because of the amazing location and the second cottage. This house was immaculately clean and everything in it is fresh and new, which was very nice. The second house on the property was quite spacious, and had everything the girls needed for a comfortable stay. If I could give any feedback, I would say that, as the listing says it accommodates eight people, it would have been nice to have had enough blankets, towels, and dishes for eight people. We all had to share bath towels (none were provided for the hot tub, either) and I found myself having my morning coffee out of a Pyrex measuring cup. There were also only four or five chairs at the dining room table, so my husband and I ended up squatting in front of the fireplace to eat our meals. Smaller pillows would have been much appreciated, as well. I understand the owners were probably going for big luxurious bed pillows, but they were all so thick, that we all ended up with neck pain the next day. And as several others have mentioned, it’s a bit awkward not having curtains in the master bedroom. The large bay window looks right out to the main road, so we had to change our clothes in the bathroom. Instructions for the hot tub would’ve been nice, too. The hot tub was a bit chilly at 98°, and there didn’t seem to be any way of turning the temperature up. Of course, these are all just intended to be helpful thoughts, and we would absolutely return to this property and very much enjoyed our stay.

One of Our Favorites

We spend the weekend in Bodega several weekends a year and we decided to try a new vacation rental site and a new property near one of our favorite beaches. I wish we could keep this place our little secret and say all kinds of bad things about this place so we could have for ourselves when we next decide to visit the coast. Unfortunately, we have nothing bad to say. Wonderfully remodeled, great attention to detail, amazing location, property management was very responsive, and they even left all of the lights on for us as we arrived in the late evening the first night. The big dipper was so close the first night it seemed like we could reach up and touch it. House is very comfortable and private, even without window coverings, and is well stocked. We were very disappointed when it was time to leave. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your coastal home.

We loved our stay at Bodega Breeze. The house was very nice and it had all the amenities we needed. It also had a separate ADU which is great to have if you need some extra space. Also, it is in a perfect location since it is within walking distance of the beach.

A place to Beat the Heat

We have a few rentals that we had stayed at previously but they were not available. When we rented this unit, I wasn't sure what to expect. Well it is definitely my grandkids new favorite place as they loved playing in Salmon Creek and being so close to the ocean. It is a very short walk. We found that the beds were very comfortable. It was great having the 2nd unit for those who sleep a little longer and property management was very responsive.

Spring break road trip with pup and teens

This was our first road trip with our dog (3 year old Frenchie). He was pretty anxious the first few days and didn't want to leave our sides. He finally got comfy by the end. The house was nice and for the most part accurate online as to the stay. It is unfortunate that the house is walkable to a non-dog friendly beach which made us have to get in the car a lot and leave to find something to do which is not what we wanted to do. Also, waking up to the power company at 8am on our second day to discover they were replacing the power pole in the yard for the entire day and not having power to cook, shower with hot water, or wifi to even contact the rental agency or do much again forced us to leave the house dirty and hungry. I highly recommend curtains in the living area and bedrooms on all windows is critical. We felt very exposed to the public at night or when people would walk or drive by. If renting this property, I highly recommend you read all of the details on what each room and bathroom offers and locations in the house or studio space, and the proximity to amenities that are offered in the area. It was nice to have the fenced areas for the dog to hang out with us on the balcony, spa area, and near the grill. Overall, good first doggie trip and nice area, but would not take teens again for a full week.

Wonderful Memories

This home, studio, hot tub, and yard offer the perfect setting for the family. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen was perfectly stocked to support our cooking and dining needs. We loved the fireplace too because it helped us kick the chill after being in the rain:) One note for a minor improvement would be to have slightly comfier furniture in the main living area. There was plenty of seating and room for playing games and visiting during our down time. The close proximity to the beach and dunes can’t be beat. Thank you Bodega Breeze for a wonderful week! We will be back!

Perfect for a large group

The small cabin was so wonderful for a family of 5. Plenty of space for every one to rest and relax. The only draw back, I wish there were window coverings in the master bedroom and living room for a bit more privacy.
