The hot tub was nice. The walkway to the hot tub could use upgrades and definitely more lighting. House was beautiful and clean. Host was there to greet us ,nice guy who also lives on site.

The host was wonderful, catching crab for us for a wonderful dinner. The accommodations were very comfortable and roomy. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. A wonderful place to stay right on the ocean. Will definitely be coming back for longer timeframe.

There were no instructions about the operation of equipment. The hot tub temperature was too low and the access to it was treacherous as there were broken boards and it was very slippery. The promised opportunity to catch crabs was not possible. The cutlery was thrift store quality and neither couch was very comfortable, one was vertually unusable.

Beautiful view however bushes need to be cut back to experience the full view same with the bushes heading to the hot tub. Owner lives above which I wish I would have known. overall it was OK. The thing that didn’t sit well with me was the owner came to tell me on the second day, that BC Hydro had contacted him and the power was gonna get turned off from 11:30 PM until 5 AM. I was unable to reach him at first and so I contacted BC Hydro myself and there was no such power outage scheduled. I just found it really strange. He said it could’ve been a crank call, but honestly it caused me so much anxiety because I sleep with a sleep apnoea machine and I was afraid I wasn’t gonna be able to go to sleep. My bed sheets also didn’t feel freshly washed. For the price it’s decent.

The description says that you get the entire house. Depends the definition of”entire” but it does not says that the owner leaves on the 3rd floor and that he dies not leave the property. I felt watched the all time. Also the bed sheets stunk like sweat and were full of dog hair. Really disgusting. The only plus, we enjoyed the tub and the view.

Amazing stay in Tofino

Lovely spacious house overlooking the ocean. Mins from shops. Hot tub was lovely. Got a tour of the property with Kevin when we arrived and everything was amazing.

Relaxation or Lots of surfing

A reasonable Price for a 3 bedroom House.in Tofino. It does need some Visual maintenance but nothing serious affected our Stay. Kevin was always prompt to address our concern.( batteries for the Remote, location of Hot tub. )We had( at our Choice) a very relaxing Holiday. There is Lots to do in the area.

Christmas in Tofino

My husband and I and our two kids aged 19 and 23 rented this property for 3 nights. We really enjoyed the location and were able to enjoy some great storm watching.

Fun trip

The property was beautiful, Kevin was accommodating and thorough in walking us through the house and hot tub area. Wonderful view from the deck and hot tub. Really enjoyed the special touches such as provided rain jackets and house coats. Very pleasant stay

Autumn stay

Lovely property. Conveniently near to Tofino. Great ocean view. Lots of space inside. Clean and good facilities. Nice quiet spot. We had a great stay even with a power cut for a few hours!

Major disappointment

This is my first negative review and we rent houses all the time! The cover photo showing the view must be from 20+ years ago, the yard is completely overgrown and that view doesn’t exist as shown. The entire home is in a state of disrepair. The first thing you see as you approach is a broken garage door, the deck, stairs and siding have all the paint peeling, rot concerns, etc. the wood floor inside is sticky and partially stripped. The bathrooms smell like a dirty dishrag and the shower curtain is full of mold. The primary bedroom’s bed is propped up by a stack of boards on one side. I had to soak the coffee pot overnight to get it clean, the walk to the hot tub is on rickety planks where you need to navigate the overgrowth. The owner used an outdoor large pressure cooker or fryer on his deck directly above our door, so it was a major safety concern coming and going on one of the days. When we entered on the first day, the owner was suddenly knocking on the door and pretty much insisted on a walkthrough, it was odd and not needed. There are 2 others door to the outside deck (didn’t use given the state of disrepair) and one other door down the stairs in the laundry. All were unlocked. There was another pocket door in the laundry that was locked from the other side but you could see a bed in it. It was creepy and unnerving. There is no door or gate at the top of the stairs making it hazardous. Overall this was a very expensive, uncomfortable stay. I want a refund!!

Cozy home with a mostly private beach

We had a great time staying at the property. The house is old but in good condition with all the amenities you would want. The beach is shared with just two other homes on the row, but we didn't see any one else while we were out there. It's not a "lounge and tan" kind of beach as there is no sand, but it's great for the dog, and puttering in the long and shallow area and perfect for paddle boarding. We would definitely book again for a stay in Tofino.

The place was cozy and tidy. The place we stayed in has a deck close to the water which was nice. Kevin was a great host. The only issue we had was that there was no light in the kitchen.
