Imagine a beautiful sunrise/sunset on a private beach with a fire pit, gorgeous colored lights around the property, a hanging lounge chaise, ten more chairs, a picnic table, a paddle boat, and kayaks. The large deck has a charcoal grill and a park grill on the beach, plus rocking chairs, a lighted sun umbrella, seating for six, a three-person swing set, and a fence in the yard for your kids and dogs. The property has been completely updated and features a washer and dryer, a TV with local channels, a Samsung TV, and plenty of additional TV apps to which you can sign in. Additionally, an outdoor, waterproof, portable blue speaker provides high-speed internet, Wi-Fi, a cell booster, a cell charger compatible with all phone types, and air conditioning in each room. The fully equipped kitchen is for cooking. There is a shed full of games, sand, water, fun toys, and life jackets for humans and dogs. There are no extra fees for cleaning, coffee, paddle boats, kayaks, beach towels, or using a washer/dryer—great location to see Upper Michigan Destinations. Long-term guests (30 days or more) should email for a price quote. A 1.5-hour drive to Door County from the cabin, and we offer a much lower price per night with more privacy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was clean with all the amenities we needed, and very welcoming for our 2 greyhounds. This is a great location for day tripping to both the upper peninsula and Door county, and the view across the bay was beautiful, especially in the morning. The hosts have done a fabulous job making this property welcoming and cozy.

The cabin was charming and the yard and beach area was beautiful! There was everything we need for a relaxing vacation, with plenty of room and sitting spaces throughout the property! And the fenced in yard was so nice for the dog! It was lovely!!!

Wonderful spot to spend time relaxing. The only minor dislike, and this is purely an opinion, and would not deter us from renting again, is the use of perfumed air fresheners and fabric softeners. Can be overpowering for us as we both have migraine issues with perfumes. Overall, we still give it 5 stars....and would definitely come back.

Cottage on the lake

Out of our control but the lake was not swimmable for our 2 dogs. The beach area had not been raked. The grass yard was perfect for them to play within the fence. We could not enjoy the beach. The cottage very accommodating. Purchased many gallons of water to get through the week and it was stipulated the water not suitable for drinking and cooking. Timothy was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Very pleasant. Lots of traffic noise. Main hwy directly behind the cottage. Quiets down at night. Bring binoculars as lots of boating being seen.

Very Relaxing with Incredible View

Our family of three enjoyed our time immensely, especially the view! The property was very clean and the owner provided many nice touches which we really appreciated. The fenced yard was perfect for our dogs. There were many nice seating areas around the beach, firepit and deck. The kayaks and paddle boats were a plus. We also used the yard games provided. We would definitely recommend this spot to anyone and will stay there again if we are in the area.

Nice Beach Location

This place is right on the water with a sand beach and shoreline for walking. The house was very clean and comfortable. The location is just outside of town so it was quiet but also convenient if you needed to make a grocery run. One drawback is how close it is to the highway. You definitely hear some traffic noise especially when the trucks hit the rumble strips.

Nice Green Bay view with private beach!

Booked this place for private beach and we were not disappointed. Had everything we needed for cooking meals and bed was comfortable. Beautiful view of beach/bay out front picture window! Lots of seating on beach, firepit with provided wood and great solar lights surrounding property which gave it resort feel. On highway, which we knew, so fan unit in bedroom was helpful for sleeping. Would recommend for relaxing getaway! Thanks Tim!

Relaxing Retreat

The home had all you could possibly need for a vacation stay. Add people and food and be ready for a relaxing, rejuvenating stay. We arrived to a perfectly cleaned home with a perfect view. The beach is as beautiful as shown, very private and well appointed. My family really enjoyed the peace and solitude. Menominee isn’t what you’d call a tourist town, but there are several grocery stores to serve your needs. There are nearby towns where you can shop. On our last day my son-in-law commented that this was really a relaxing vacation and we should book again for next year, which we will. Loved the beach and spent most of our time there.

Excellent home on the beach

My 3 kids, my husband and I absolutely loved this house and our stay. The house is beautiful and so is the view. The pictures don’t do it justice. Walking out to spacious beach area was wonderful. The AC is only needed at night and works great. Extremely clean and inviting. The house is fully stocked with blankets, towels and everything you could need. Tim and Grace are excellent hosts. Easy to contact with questions and recommendations. We definitely intend to return to this wonderful getaway house 🙂

Owners turned in a fraudulent insurance claim for a vacuum that they claimed we ruined.

This owner makes you buy insurance when booking. They turned in a fraudulent claim for a vacuum on this insurance saying we broke their vacuum. This is not true. The vacuum was already broken when we got there. These people obviously have no integrity. Do not rent from them. It is fraudulent claims like this that cause all of our rates to go up. I even contacted the owner and he said he would stop the claim. He didn't, the claim was paid out today. Unbelievable dishonesty.

Amazing Cozy Getaway for Our Family of Five

Tim was a fantastic host during our stay in the UP of Michigan. The property offered the 'north woods, off the beaten path' of the UP while still providing all of the creature comforts of a lakeside beach vacation. We were greeted by Tim, who gave us some quick information about the home and neighborhood. He also provided a box of cookies from a local bakery - delicious! The outside areas included a mudroom and a back porch, complete with rocking chairs and a charcoal grill with supplies. The yard had a grass section with a shed and a variety of outdoor games. Beyond the yard was the highlight of our stay - a private beach with a variety of seating options, a firepit, and a paddleboat. Each area of the back yard lit up with solar lights as the sun set. Absolutely beautiful. Our favorite day was spent BBQing and playing yard games until the sun set, followed by a bonfire on the beach with s'mores. Priceless. Inside the newly updated home was a spectacular view of the lake from the living room and kitchen area. I spent each morning in the rocking chair with a cup of coffee, watching the waves roll in. The home was well stocked with paper goods and extra linens, beach towels, and a washer and dryer for laundry. Everything included in the listing and more! Locally, we visited the DeYoung Family Zoo where we held a baby jackal, fed lettuce to a hippopotamus, and threw marshmallows to black bears, to name a few highlights. Highly recommend this to host to everyone!

Weekend stay

Went for long weekend. Had a great view of the lake beach was very nice with plenty of seating and nice fire pit with nice lighting for great ambiance. Nice fenced yard if you have pets our beagle loved it. 😊 easy access to different places and things to do but overall would go again.

It is spotless, with a great view of the beach and a complete fence in the front yard facing the beach for kids and dogs. We have a travel guide on the counter for 15 places and fun things to do and see within 3 hours of the cabin. We provide more amenities and charge no cleaning fee. Will rent long term DEC - APRIL for Business people and traveling nurses.
