The Yellow Cabin: Fun in the Sun!

Relax with the whole family at this adorable retreat. Only 90 minutes from St. Paul, this cozy cabin has everything you need for fun & relaxing. Featuring an outdoor sauna, modern updates indoors & out. Due to Eurasian Milfoil on the lake, the DNR has drained the majority of the lake and it is now a river(see pics of the view as of May 2024). The yellow cabin is very close to the Gandy Dancer State Trail as well as the Ice Age Trail; great for summer and winter adventures!

Beautiful cabin

Our stay was super fun. The view was beautiful in the sauna was just what we needed during the cold winter months! The water pressure was a little Janky, but I know it’s just because of the lake and how the dam is put in place. But it was a little bit hard to shower wash hands, wash, dishes, or even flush the toilet. Overall definitely would stay again.

Great Weekend Getaway

We had a great time and really enjoyed the sauna. Host was easy to communicated with. Close enough for a quick drive from the Twin Cities.

Hunting trip

We had a great time at the cabin. We come up north every year to hunt and love when we find a great place to stay, we will def come back!

Was a cute little cabin! A bit disappointed the lake was going down due to work on dam and bridge for the lake but that was no fault of the owner.

Relaxing and Bird Watching

We had a very nice stay at the Yellow Cabin! There were several Bald Eagles and Trumpeter Swans in the river right in front of the large windows. One day we were lucky to have a pair of River Otters playing in the water too. The sauna was a nice feature after hiking many trails in the area. The bed was very comfortable and we felt very at home with all the amenities in the kitchen.
