Love the Lazy Bear Lodge!

What a beautiful property on the lake, with everything well-furnished and well-appointed. We had 4 couples, plenty of sleeping room for each of us, mattresses and pillows very comfy. But the best part is that large gathering space in the center of the home! We had so many laughs and memories, we will definitely be back!

This cabin is so nice and perfect for a large group. The amenities are decorating touches are amazing and the outdoor seating area is great. Very responsive with questions our group had and very flexible when requesting a later check out.I would highly recommend and we hope to be back again next year.

We loved everything about this home! There was plenty of space for our group, with room to spread out or gather together. The screened porch allowed for plenty of seating. The home was very clean and well maintained, the outdoor area was lovely, and communication with the host was fantastic. We would definitely stay again!

Lazy Bear Cabin

Great place to stay, perfect for all ages, the water was clear and shallow for kids to play in. Pontoon was nice, the lake had good fishing. Overall great place for a family vacation.

Perfect Choice

This vrbo far exceeded our expectations. From its soaring wood ceilings, spacious great room/kitchen, to its ample bedrooms and bathrooms all tastefully decorated in cabin decor, it exuded north woods ambiance. There was plenty of outdoor seating, a firepit, gas grill, kayaks, and yard games. The owners thought of everything! The clear shallow sandy-bottomed lake was perfect for young children to spend the day in. It all made for an incredibly enjoyable family vacation!

Beautiful, Well Designed home on shallow, clear lake!

Lazy Bear Lodge was a wonderful place to rent for the week. The house is beautiful & designed perfectly for groups: beautiful kitchen & living area, main level queen bedroom (for those with issues with stairs), family room with bunks would be great for kids, upstairs master is huge, plus 2 more bedrooms! Screened in porch was favorite place to eat and play yahtzee. Patio was the perfect hangout. Rented pontoon and took many laps around the lake each day. Lake is very shallow near shore, up to knees at end of the dock! Only thing to keep in mind is no access to laundry and only 1 extra roll of toilet paper provided per bathroom. We were aware so we brought extra towels and toilet paper but for a week stay something to keep in mind. Owners and manager were great to work with. Will be on our list if we ever need a house for a larger group again!

Fabulous Family Cabin

Lazy Bear Lodge was perfect for my family ages 2-67. It was clean, spacious and provided every item. Comfortable furniture and beds provided the rest and relaxation needed. Fishing, swimming, grilling and bonfire all contributed to a fabulous family weekend. Owners were wonderful! Thank you so much!

Beautiful property

We had a great time at the Lazy Bear Lodge! Everything was immaculate and was just as advertised. There was room for the whole family to spread out inside and out. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need for adults and kids. The shallow sandy bottom pier area was a hit with two toddlers. We rented the pontoon for the week and the fishing was outstanding! Would definitely give it a 10/10!

Great for families.

We had 3 generations of family here and it worked great for us. A lot of room for people to nap and others to visit or play board games in the screened in porch or be in the water. The was our second stay in the past 3 summers. Communication with Chris was excellent and he was patient with questions.

Great Family Cabin

Fabulous family weekend! Lazy Bear Lodge has everything a family ( ages 2-67) needs for a lovely long weekend. Swimming, fishing, grilling, bonfire, s’mores and great sleeping accommodations. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. A wonderful time was had by all. Thank you!

Absolutely Fabulous!

I cannot recommend this house enough. The space was clean, well supplied, comfortable, and quiet. The beds were above standard comfort and they thought of the small comforts that just make the experience better. The home has a beautiful lakefront view and is a prime location for some rest and relaxation.

Ladies Weekend

There were seven of us and we absolutely loved this property. So much room, great kitchen and well stocked. Nice fire pit. There was plenty of room for all. Highly enjoyed staying at this beautiful lake home.

A Place To Settle In

This is a very well-kept house, built to take full advantage of its siting by the lake. We had stunning sunrises and sunsets. Kitchen could not be more complete, and the space has a great flow to it. Clean, welcoming, a place for a group to experience any season.

Gorgeous home, spectacular site!

Our family spent 7 great days at the Lazy Bear Lodge. This home has everything you need for a comfortable and cozy stay. We participated in lake sports, played board games in the screen porch, grilled great meals, had outdoor/indoor fires, saw eagles/loons/swans/hurons, and laughed a lot. The owners/caretaker were responsive and helpful. Check in and out were easy. All in all it was delightful! We plan to stay again!!

Wonderful lake home

Everything here felt new, clean, and comfortable. This property is immaculately maintained, beautiful, and enormous. There are enough beds and space here for at least 14 people, but a max of 8 can rent, which was perfect for my family of 4 plus my sister’s family of 4. Hosts were very communicative, pleasant, and prompt to respond to questions. Kitchen has everything you might need from new nonstick cookware, to spices, to cling wrap and containers for leftovers. Beds are super comfortable. Master bedroom is about the size of my entire first apartment lol. Bathrooms stocked with towels galore. Do bring your own beach towels though, and pack enough clothing for your whole stay because there’s no laundry on-site. And also note there is no recycling on site (we brought most of our recyclables home with us). We splurged and added the beautiful pontoon rental and were so glad we did. It’s not a very big or busy lake - very calm and peaceful, actually. which was lovely (we saw loons and eagles every day). There was no need to spend all day straight on the boat because it was a quick ride back to the dock from anywhere, but we would usually head to a ~20 ft depth spot, anchor it, and swim, or float around on inflatables. The shallows next to the dock are clear and great for the little kids to play, but you need to go probably 30 yards past the dock for it to be deep enough to actually swim without weeds. I’d say if you brought paddle boards to get you out there you might be ok without a boat, but otherwise you’ll probably want one. Tips: Go to burnette dairy for fresh cheese curds (and when I say fresh, I mean they are still warm from being “curded”). For a full grocery run, head to Fourwinds Market in Siren. Everything closer seemed sparsely stocked. Brickhouse Brewing in Grantsburg has great beers and seltzers. A couple suggestions to make this place 110%: Lamps - I think there is only 1 lamp in the entire house, and the overhead lights can be harsh. I wish I’d brought a reading light for bed. Floor/table lamps in the living room and bedrooms would be perfect. Please remove the wind chime on the front porch. It almost sounds like a constant buzzing and drove all of us nuts (even my 4 yr old)! More kitchen towels and paper products (we ran out of TP, paper towels, and trash bags). These were only minor inconveniences. Overall we had a fabulous stay, we would truly love to return next year!
