Crystal Sands is a spacious, soundside retreat in the Tuckahoe neighborhood of Duck, featuring an open-concept floor plan. The home provides ample space for the entire family to spread out. The well-stocked kitchen is equipped for preparing a seaside feast, accommodating both casual and experienced cooks. A significant feature is that all five bedrooms include private, furnished decks perfect for enjoying coffee or sunbathing. Guests have access to numerous community amenities just two houses away, including an outdoor pool, pickleball and tennis courts. The Tuckahoe Community also features a soundside dock, ideal for launching watercraft, and a 200-foot pier and gazebo for watching stunning sunsets over the sound. Crystal Sands is conveniently located within a short walk of Downtown Duck, allowing easy access to the sound front boardwalk and the town park.

Nice location to the pool and not far from beach

The house accommodated our family with the required bedrooms and bathrooms. We liked how close to the pool. Also liked the short distance to walk to the beach. We didn’t like the clutterness. We didn’t like the raised steps on the third level. We kept falling off or stumbling up these throughout the stay. We didn’t like all the glass surfaces having young children running around increasing the chance of injuries. But overall it was an okay place to stay.

We had a great vacation. Our family enjoyed time and meals together in the living area and dining room. This house has the best stocked kitchen, utensil wise, of any where we have stayed. Very nice house, convenient to everything. Host was always available for communication for anything we needed. The headboard in the master bedroom had been broken before and came apart on us while we were there. It needs a better repair or should be replaced. The living room area is large and a nice area for the whole family. However, between the island in the kitchen area and the seating along the stairwell railing, moving to/from the stairway or MB is difficult. Also the dining areas and the floor in the master bedroom are raised. There are signs warning about the step, but they are not adequate to grab your attention. My wife and I both nearly had falls, getting up in the middle of the night headed to the bathroom or heading to the far end cabinet in the kitchen. Warnings should be on each wall by the step up/down and obvious to anyone approaching and/or night lights by the steps.
