"This is a camping style dry cabin. There is A/C, heat & some small appliances. There is No running water, No shower, outhouse style bathroom & hand/dishwashing water barrel station only."
Come enjoy old rustic Texas history in this custom designed A Frame Dry Cabin. Settle in on the spacious 2 acre farm all to yourself with gorgeous large oak trees and beautiful sunsets. Enjoy the dark skies with bright stars in Star, Texas over an open campfire!
2 private acres fully fenced and backs up to a gorgeous 200 acre cattle ranch for great views.
A Frame cabin (1 Queen Bed & 1 Twin size pull out mat)
Pergola and porch with camp fire
Outdoor porta potty/outhouse and handwashing station (No shower)
You will have access to the following:
- Fully safe fenced secure 2 acres
- The A frame cabin
- The pergola area
- Interior Cabin queen bed (Fits 2) and under bed slide out mat (twin size, fits 1)
*Disclaimer: No entering any other structures on the property due to insurance liability only covering the cabin area. The other structures are video monitored but does not capture the A frame cabin area.*
This is a glamping style dry cabin / property with limited utilities, there is electricity with A/C & heat but no running water, no shower, and an outhouse style bathroom only. No WIFI but the cell service is pretty good. You will need to bring your own drinking water.

Hello, I am from Northern California originally but have been in the Austin, Texas area for several years now. We enjoy spending time together as a family which includes Church, travelling, sports and the outdoors with our kids. I love hosting "Away at the A" because I built it with my own hands. I love all the attention to detail on the design I have created and I love presenting a 5 star experience to all of the guests.

We love the outdoors as a family so this Goldthwaite, Texas area is perfect for camp fires and star gazing. The nights out here are very quiet and beautiful with big open bright skies and killer sunsets. Its a very peaceful and tranquil setting. We also love the old rustic cowboy style property that has been around since the late 1800s! Come see it all for yourself.

Our property stands out among others because it once was an old small working farm / homestead from the 1800s. Its really neat to see everything on the property and items I have found and included into the Cabin all came from this property. The 230 year old oak tree also hugs and wraps up the cabin with cool tree lights for a great night vibe that is killer!
