Peace and tranquility

I had an amazing stay this rental cottage, enjoyed beautiful sunsets, deer on the property, and a nice hike behind the cottage. It was quiet and relaxing, everything that I was hoping for. If ever in the area again, I will definitely return here.

Excellent Rental

The rental was exactly as advertised. This was our first trip to Nova Scotia. Brian and Cathy were very friendly and a wealth of information on where to go and what to see in the area.

Can’t wait to come back!

This was by far one of the nicest vacation spots we’ve ever rented. We immediately felt at home because Brian and Cathie have created a space that has everything you could ever need. The welcome muffins as soon as we got there were just one of the touches that made us feel so very welcome. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Relaxing peaceful stay

Top notch property in a quiet location. Looks brand new. Host is in a home in front of the property and is very helpful with info on the area. Loved the king size bed. Beautifully decorated as well.

The property is dazzlingly clean, and architecturally pretty. The property is a long-ish drive from major tourist sites. But is consequently also very quiet.

Seaside Delight!

Begin and end each day with a serene waterfront view from the delightful and charming guesthouse. It has well-appointed decor, is very clean, and provides everything you would need (full kitchen and cookware, full bathroom with plenty of towels and supplies). We took daily walks on the beach, enjoyed bird songs, and watched the tides roll in and out. Absolutely a dream vacation!

Surfs Up is a big thumbs up

Great location for anything on the south shore! The cottage is tucked away on a quiet street right along a beautiful bay. Brian was super friendly and a big help with areas to see or things to do! Great beaches to visit all within short driving distance. Two grocery stores 15 mins away made it super easy to stock up. Highly recommend staying here!!!

Cozy, quiet, beautiful sunsets!

A lovely cottage on the hill overlooking Eagle Head Bay on a dead end road. The house is very nicely decorated with a folk art feel and Cathie has made many beautiful rug hook wall hangings, pillows etc. Brian is as sweet and genuine a host as you could ever ask for and all his recommendations for sights to see and places to eat were spot on. Both he and Cathie were very gracious hosts, the cottage is in a perfect location for exploring and to come back to for a glass of wine at the end of the day. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing place to relax on the edge of the ocean.

Excellent location, waking up to a view of the ocean and relaxing to a view of the sunset in the evening. A great beach to walk on, very close to the property, along with a great walking trail to explore through the woods. Amazing hosts, Brian / Cathy, have a wealth of knowledge of the area and are available for any questions. Lots of locations for great meals and to explore within a short drive. Would love to come back in the future.

Amazing getaway spot

What a great spot for a getaway. The location is perfect with amazing views of the bay and several great beaches close by. The patio is a great spot to listen to the waves or the birds or take in a sunset. Brian and Cathie are excellent hosts, super friendly with lots of great advice (we LOVED the LaHave Bakery!). And the cottage was SPOTLESS, amazingly clean and very well outfitted with every kitchen appliance and gadget you could want. This was our second time staying here and we’ll definitely be back for more. Super relaxing trip.

Eagle Head “Surfs Up”

An outstanding property located on the beautiful south shore! Everything about our stay there exceeded our expectations- the accommodations, the view, the location and the surrounding area. Lots of great walks (including Brian’s trail through the woods) and bike rides available right from the front door! Brian and Cathie are fantastic hosts - hopefully we’ll make it back again some day! Quiet getaway with beautiful sunsets.

The rental was exactly as advertised. It's a beautiful, very clean and new condo with a comfortable king size bed in a quiet area right at the water with beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was well equipped with one needs to cook a meal. Brian was a great host. He was very welcoming and provided helpful info about the area and tips on what to do. His wife even sent us some freshly baked muffins. It's a short walk to a quiet beach and there's a very nice hiking trail through the woods behind the house. We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend the place!

Surf's Up third visit... South Shore Great Find

Property is immaculate, clean, well equipped, everything you'd possibly need. It is a great location with a wonderful view that keeps us coming back, owners (Brian and Cathy) are very helpful and obliging. Always have suggestions about what to see or do in the area. There is tons to see and do in almost every direction. Even your own hiking trail on the property. WONDERFUL.
