Poor upkeep by management
First we requested a change to our Rez to a day earlier. Payment was taken but day wasn’t changed! Difficult start. At check in we noticed a bad smell and wet flooring due to a longstanding leak in the kitchen with waste water/sewage backing up into the flooring.Wet socks,bad smell with a baby visiting so we had to keep him up at all times. We were unable to use the kitchen sink and dishwasher and had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink as the garage had a bigger sink but the lights didn’t work and we were told that the garage was not part of the rental. My 80yo parents and I spent each day having to leave part of our party home at all times because we had to keep doors and windows open to air out the home and haul all rugs out to dry.We also had to let various people in to confirm that there was indeed a problem with waste drainage in the home that has been ongoing for long enough for the walls and wood to have rot. The specialist told us that we should not be breathing the air and we should seek another home. Management did not provide that and tried to verbally ensure us something would be done but at no time came to the home, had us do the work of drying floors, rugs and protecting the home which kept us from traveling as a group. When asked for help they told us they would fix this after we left and provided no relief. Our trip was definitely affected. Too bad, because it’s a nice area and I’m sure the homeowners are nice people who deserve better management.
