All dressed up for the holidays. Vintage MCM modern artists bungalow. Fantastic location for exploration. Super convenient location approximately 30 minutes from Midway or O'Hare. Under 10 minute walk to BNSF Metra line that will take you from the Harlem stop to Union Station in 20 minutes. From there explore the city, sporting events, museums, parks. Well appointed, fenced outdoor patio, guitars available in music room. Dining and nightlife is close by. Absolutely no smoking or vap.
The space
Be prepared to teleport back in time. The home is decorated in Mid Century Hollywood Regency period authentic decor.

Most items in the home are pre 1970’s. Its a artists musical oasis. Guitars/Uke are available for use, we have a violin/sax available upon request, and you can spin some vinyl on the teak deck Sony. There are blue tooth speakers on both floors for use. Pleanty of interesting art fills the walls and the staircase hallway has vintage photos of Berwyn life.

The king and queen beds are luxury foam mattresses by Tuft & Needle and 8. The full bed has a newer pillow top mattress and 2” foam cooling padded top for extra comfort.

There is a full well appointed kitchen that was rehabbed with cabinets from a Mid Century tear down. There is a Kuerig with pods available, tea, and sugar in the raw. Enjoy microwave popcorn available for movie nights.

Enjoy time under the umbrella canopy in the fenced private back yard. Light the fire pit and enjoy some downtime.

There are some cool surprises too. Come sit and spend some time amongst musical greats.

The home is a 120 year old brick bungalow. While it has central air and heat there are window units and floor heaters for use should you need them. The upstairs usually needs help as the home is vintage and can be finicky. To keep the upstairs cool please keep door at top of stairs closed and same for heat. This is not a Kholer spa:) the water pressure while good isn’t amazing. If you are running heaters or AC units upstairs please turn off prior to using a blow dryer or you will trip the breaker.

This is a personal home not an ikea special. Come make yourself at home in a home. If there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable please ask. We also love feedback on how we can improve so please offer suggestions. We stay local and are available should any needs arise.

Other things to note
1. Please do not make any excessive noise before 8am or after 10pm, the neighbors will call the police.

2. Non refundable $500 cleaning fee for any smoking in the home. This includes cigarettes, vape, or pot. Absolutely no smoking of any kind in the home. Please smoke outside and remove all debris from premises.

3. If you would like to bring a pet please ask. Will only consider small older dogs that do not chew, under 30 pounds, and no indoor accidents issues. There is a fenced yard. We have a food and water bowl available.
