This was a wonderful house and location. Short walk to the beach, quiet and cozy. All the amenities you would want and need at the beach.

Family Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Terrific for a large family with wonderful spaces to enjoy together. The home is perfectly located in a neighborhood that provides beach access within a 10 minute walk, a small walk for coffee and ice cream, and cute playground with tennis and basketball courts just across the street. All of the outdoor decks, pool and hot tub are perfect if it may be a rainy day.

It was clean, well kept and well equipped. The pool was icing on the cake. A/C cooling distribution was a bit uneven; colder at the top floors, warmer at the middle levels. The location is great; however, traffic was very heavy on a Saturday arrival and it took much longer to get to the rental than expected. Overall, it was a great vacation.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was comfortable but a number of areas can be improved. No linens on beds and NO paper in any bathroom or kitchen; (although this is clearly in section 24 of the lease it is still stunningly non-friendly). No gas in grill, screen in porch torn and fan non-functional (management did respond when notified). Neighborhood is very “House-dense” and access to beach is poor, requiring a roundabout 15 minute walk.

I wanted to love this house. We were so excited. We love this neighborhood! We had an overall okay experience but there were pros and cons. Pros: Location of the home is resonable to beach access.The home is spacious.The master bathroom shower is great. Cons: The stairs weren’t vacuumed upon arrival. Our socks also picked up a lot of dirt when walking through the house with no shoes. Some of the bedroom linens have wash stains from bleach or cleaners. Bathroom linens were not included in the rental but were available for an additional fee. The “master bedroom” bed is on wheels. The mattress in all rooms over all aren’t comfortable.There is a lot of decorative clutter. A lot of personal family pictures etc. Most of the kitchen cabinets are full to capacity of mismatched dishes, leaving no room for food/pantry items. The utensil drawers had debri in them.The fridge is outdated. The rugs in-front of the patio doors upstairs have no grip & are fall uphazards. Especially for children or older people. All of the couch cushions were flipped “zipper side” up and pillows were just thrown around. We couldn’t find a broom to sweep throughout the week. The washing machine made our clothing smell musty. We paid a cleaning fee; but there were tip envelopes on the counter. (And the floors weren’t clean upon arrival) The outside trash cans were full, smelled and attracted flies. Compared to some horror stories I’ve seen about houses online, I know it could be worse.

Reviewer Comments: I’ve been bringing my family to the outer banks for 30 years now.We have been fortunate to stay at many different homes managed my most every company at the beach.All of the companies have been professional and helpful and our stays have been very enjoyable.There have been times when things did not meet standards and for the most part they were handled properly.I can in all honesty tell you I this was the best rental company we have ever dealt with. Every question I had ( and I had a few) was answered promptly and professionally. The house was fantastic, spotless and well stocked. But I believe what separated Carolina Shores from the other top flight outfits I have dealt with was their kindness.I’m not kidding in the least when I tell you they treated me like a friend.They have a young lady named “Boots” who is is one of kindest , as well as efficient people I have met in my 63 years on this planet.Hats off to all of the people I encounter on our trip including the linen delivery person , great job and thank you!See you next summer!!!

The beach access was a little farther than we expected, but we drove and parked at the lot by the access. We mostly ate in the whole time and the kitchen was well stocked. The pool is nice. Close access to the 4x4 beach which we took advantage of. Would come here again.

Beach week 2022

The house was spacious and had a nice layout. The house didn't appear to have been cleaned prior to check in and there wasn't enough seating on the decks or at the pool to accommodate a family and make it feel more welcoming. We enjoyed our stay in the area and had a great time overall. Our only complaint was the cleanliness and somethings are old and tattered.

Spacious home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: No complaints. Distance from the beach is the only knock, but being able to drive the heavy items close made it easier. The walk itself is not bad at all...and the dog loved it. Sound system throughout the house was a plus with blue tooth receiver. Extra beach chairs and umbrellas, although worn, were very convenient. Bikes were a nice addition for quick beach access. The one addition I would add is a 2nd refrigerator. 5 bedrooms with 1 refrigerator requires some juggling, but manageable. Very spacious home for our group of 10 + dog.

The house was very spacious and met our needs. It is a little dated in some areas and carpet needs replacing on stairway in main entrance. Housekeeping did not meet my standards. The house did not appear to have been vacuumed and lots of dust and spills left on furniture. I did take pictures and sent to property manager. She was apologetic and said the photos would be sent to Housekeeping manager.The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. Our grandsons enjoyed the recreation room. The hot tub and pool were a big plus and very nice. Access to the beach was within walking distance.The exterior of grounds had not been cleaned. Leaves and trash around house. Balcony on both levels had spiderwebs. The windows and sliding doors were very dirty with fingerprints.The houses are very close to each other. There was a party of 14 college age students that were very loud from about 2:00 pm to 1:00 am next door. I would suggest taking earplugs and use white noise.We would rent this house again because the positive definitely outweighed the negative. My biggest issue was with housekeeping not the owners.

RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK

My wife and I arrived only to be greeted by an INFESTATION of spiders. I can understand a few here and there, it happens. But this was no normal amount of "seasonal" insects. The place had clearly been neglected for MONTHS as I spent the first two days of our stay pressure washing and treating the house for spiders just so we could enjoy our stay. Brenda, the property manager at Carolina Shores Realty could not care less, and lied to our faces whenn she said she would make it right. Our fridge was running at 58°, which is well over the FDA standards for keeping food safe to eat. Noone came out to fix the fridge until 3 days into our stay, and we could not store or buy ANY FOOD until day 3. Thanks Brenda! 1/10 would NOT rent again from them, like EVER.

Beautiful but farther from beach then we expected

House was great! Pool, decks, overall great living space. Pics did not show new houses in back and was 1/4 walk/drive to park and 5 min walk to beach.. no public restrooms either.

Easton's Beach Review

We absolutely loved this property. It had everything we needed for our stay. We would recommend this property to our friends and would definitely stay here again. The only suggestion we would make is that the wifi was weak, but that didn't hamper our good time.
