Key West Get Away

We have been to Key West several times but usually for the day or only 2-3 nights. We had another friend join us and it was so nice to sit on the lanai and watch the ocean and activities along S Rosevelt Blvd. We had access to a golf cart and loved exploring Key West! The Condo was perfect for our needs.

Great place

This was convenient to the beach. Clean and very fixed up. A short walk to some places and a short Uber ride to others. Would recommend and will go back.

Perfect home base for up to 4 in Key West

Reviewer Comments: Knowing we were visiting Key West during “shoulder season” when crowd levels would be low, we decided on a full week to enable seeing and connecting with the many sights, venues and entertainment that this lovely area has to offer. Our very first offering on AirBNB was this immaculate and fully-featured place just off the busy city core areas. The scenery out our ocean-view condominium was perfect and walks down the long boardwalk were sublime. With all our needs and desires fully met by having such a well-equipped and fully featured unit, we were able to leverage everything we needed during our stay. Towels, sheets, bathing, dish washing and clothes-washing were pluses. The kitchen is completely furnished. Digital fast WIFI connections and three “smart” TV’s together with many spots to plug-in chargers made it better than home! Ease of secure access to both parking and our unit gave us peaceful security as well. There is much value to offer us vagabonds in this clean well-equipped property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovedthe location. Very convenient to everything we wanted to do without being in the middle of the village, which we preferred. The condo itself is a little dated, but has a warm, old Florida vibe. Plenty of amenities. The tv was cumbersome to use since we had to log into our own streaming services. Unfortunate for us since my husband is a big NCAA fan and we wanted to watch the Final Four games. Great pool area. The view is quite nice and will be even better once the current construction is finished. We arrived to find there were several large vehicles parked immediately across the street. The pedestrian sidewalk and beach area is being worked on. We awakened at about 7:00 each morning to crews dumping and spreading sand as well as moving large construction equipment to and from the site. Other machinery was collecting and relocating seaweed to help the coastline. It seemed like there was an effort to stop working before noon so people could still enjoy the beach area. All good and necessary things but not what we had planned to be gazing at every morning. Air BNB was great about understanding our disappointment and offering a discount. That is the right thing to do, but didn’t change the overall experience. This was our 35th anniversary trip and we had been looking forward to it for months. So that was a bummer. However, we would stay there again after the construction is finished.

Beautiful Ocean View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay. Our rental was perfect for 2 couples. We each had our own bathroom. The bathrooms were a little outdated. The unit was spacious and clean with a beautiful ocean view from the sofa or out on the balcony. If you enjoy pickleball like we do, there was a court on sight. Our only complaint would be the overwhelming smell outdoors from the sea grass , which intensified throughout the day. This had nothing to do with the unit, but was very pronounced in this area.

Great Location & View

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was as described. We didn't make it to the pool, but we did go to the beach just outside the unit's balcony. Thankfully they left salt/pepper, paper plates, and some other essentials since we flew. Unfortunately, we went the week of Christmas when they had the 2nd coldest christmas in the Keys. The Unit didn't have heat, so there should be some small space heaters available during winter months in case of an abnormal cold spell. Other than that, we enjoyed it.

Our only comments would be not a sound proof condo.sliding door old and noisy and I believe bothered neighbors.we sat on deck and talked at a normal range but I realized next night may have bothered them too as I could hear their tv when going to bed. I was not bothered by their t.v but made me realize just how not sound proof it is. For being on vacation,I feel I was a bit to concerned for making any noise which we really were not. We didn't have young children with us. I do not feel a good choice for families with young children.we also smelled mold or musty odor. Dehumidifier helped with that issue. Water was shut off to condo for some repair but I just filled up some pots with water in case. No problem. Men came to spray for bugs. I didn't appreciate being exposed to that.

Felt at home and comfortable. Much better than a hotel. The other residents were friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and we had no problems with the property. All our questions were answered before we arrived and knew exactly what to do. You do need to drive to reach restaurants and entertainment but that was not an issue for us.

It feels kind of dumpy and outdated. The table on the deck is too big for the space. I did not appreciate being given a remote for the gate that did not work. Could not get it replaced until the office opened on Monday and we arrived on Saturday. Needs work before I would recommend staying here.

Had to drive across town to pick up keys and remote. Remote did not work and we got no answer to the number given to call. Had the information been sent to us prior to the night we arrived, it could have saved us a lot of time and headache. Condo has ants. Closet door in second bedroom was not on track and would not close once opened. Cannot close laundry closet door without it turning off the washer. We visited Thanksgiving week and there was not enough dishes to heat up a turkey and sides in the oven. The condo does have extra blankets, pillows, towels which was nice. The pool and hot tub are nice and well maintained. No response to our issues from realty company. Will probably stay closer in town on our next visit.

I only had two complaints. The toilets could be replaced, and the second bedroom had two beds that were uncomfortable and too small for an adult.
