The space
This original 70s A-frame cabin is surrounded by trees, overlooks a beautiful lake, is full of beautiful light and objects, and is in a perfect location for writing, reading, sipping wine and hanging with friends and family. The house is called the Dream Lounge, because that’s what the original architects intended and stamped it as - a place for dreaming and slowing down. We supply all the perfect necessities for a stay of any length - fast wi-fi, outdoor low-smoke solo-stove fire pit, beautiful original indoor fireplace, great cooking supplies, excellent espresso machine - all you have to do is come prepared to take time to think and breathe. Everyone who comes to this house feels transported and feels like they are home.

The Dream Lounge is officially in the town of Swan Lake, and it’s perfectly centered between Livingston Manor, Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center, Callicoon (best year-round farmers market) and Jeffersonville (small but perfect). All of these towns feature beautiful restaurants and really cool shopping, and the surrounding areas offer beautiful farms with fresh produce, honey, and of course, there are perfect hikes everywhere. We are closest to the town of Jeffersonville. It has a great supermarket for all your cooking supply needs, a VERY cute cafe with excellent coffee, a general store with plenty of vegan and specialty items, and some new, very cute shops.

This is the heart of the Catskills, only 2 hours (110 miles) from NYC, and the perfect place to enjoy a slower pace, partake in some non-city events, enjoy all the upstate seasonal events, or just enjoy the tranquility of this A-frame in the trees.

This cabin has two bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The primary bedroom downstairs has a queen-sized bed, beautiful views of woods and stars, beautiful light and artwork. The full bed upstairs is super cozy and open to all the quiet reading nooks in the A-frame space. It feels really special and from another era, where everything was handmade. The bathroom is located downstairs on the first floor, and is modern and beautiful, with a full bathtub for soaking.

The house has a full kitchen with everything you need to have delicious meals together overlooking Briscoe Lake, or just make a perfect latte to bring out onto the deck for some fresh air and star gazing.

The whole house overlooks greenery and water. There are so many beautifully designed spots to curl up with a book, create a kind of writer-retreat vibe, or hang out with family and friends around a fire, play games, or watch a movie. Outdoor space includes a spacious front lawn with a hammock in the warm months, a front porch, a back porch hang area, and a fire pit behind the house just at the start of the expansive woods.

**Note**
BBQ Grilling: Check the propane tank to make sure it is full before using. If a refill is needed, tank can be exchanged at J & H Express (gas station) 5 minutes from the house.

Guest access
We have easy, self-check-in with a keycode on the front door. We also have parking for multiple cars in our driveway. It is about a two-hour drive from NYC or a two hour 10 min train ride (Amtrak) from Penn Station to Hudson, NY then a 30 minute drive.

Other things to note
Guests must be 21 or older to book and a government-issued ID must be sent within 24 hours of booking.

Please remember you’re staying in our home, not a hotel. Please treat our space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site 24/7.

Heat only: The Nest thermostat is located on the main level next to the stairs. Please adjust as you feel you need to.
