BEWARE, DO NOT rent to this guest!! He will leave your house a complete disaster, but not take responsibility! First he booked on Airbnb and immediately asked for a discount. Without responding again, he requested to book on VRBO. VRBO made an error in calculating fees resulting in a rate nearly half Airbnb’s rate for 6 people for 2 weeks. I could not check VRBO in the response window, but messaged Sam and said that I thought there was an error on charges. He said they would take great care of my house, not to worry so I accepted the booking. I later contacted VRBO and learned of the booking error and messaged Sam and explained the issue and said I would LIKE to request additional guest fees due to VRBO’s error. He said they would do extra cleaning. I NEVER sent a request for payment and NEVER asked for ANY amount, let alone $2000. This guest is lying and left my house a MESS—trash and wet towels everywhere, filthy, rotting food in the refrigerator, body odor and cooktop was nearly ruined. The house was clean with no bugs when the group arrived. They broke house rules continuously after being asked not to. They left the house unlocked when they checked out. Cameras are ONLY exterior. Cleaning took over 13 HOURS to get the stench and mess out of the house. I requested $500 fee for EXTRA costs to clean up the mess! He is posting lies! Lesson learned on large parties looking for discounts and making promises they won’t keep. Shame on you SAM, respect people’s property!
