The guest apartment is a fully PRIVATE Separate building and MUST climb outdoor stairs.
Clean, Comfortable, Large Room with ATTACHED Bathroom and SEPARATE Entrance. The host and his family live in the Main building, and no one shares the rented space or bathroom.
2 friendly BARKING dogs live on the property.
LOCATION
Easy commute to TX-99, 45, 249, Hospitals, Shopping Malls, Restaurants, University of Houston, Exxon Mobil, and new HP Headquarters. 15 Minutes to Woodlands, and 30 Minutes to George Bush Airport. 40 Minutes to Downtown.

In front of the main building - Free parking.
NO-SMOKING in the room.

I was looking for a safe quiet place to stay for a few days. This fit. The kitchen had all the basics. Air worked great. Enjoyed the view of the quiet backyard and the abundant birds. The little anoles were cute to watch on the deck.

Convenient location to stay for our needs and a great price. Yatthra was a fantastic host and would have preferred to give a 9 (between good and excellent) overall rating rather than an 8 (good), but the location could use a little touch up...but we would glad stay there again.

Solid place to stay. Quiet and safe neighborhood. However, the place could use some upgrades. There were strong smelling pesticides placed around the unit which I had to remove. That said, Yatthra is a great host and was kind and helpful.

All the necessities needed for a great stay… the only thing that could make it even better is a full oven/stove, and add a washer dryer… with those added conveniences, my stay could easily and much more comfortably be extended for longer periods! Overall an excellent place to stay, clean, spacious, and comfortable…

Great place

The room was simple but adequate for a short term stay… the only thing missing that wvould make this place more convenient for longer stays, is a washer/dryer in the unit. Everything was very clean and room was spacious.

Cute and quaint

The property was adorable, in a beautiful neighborhood. All the essentials were provided. The backyard is a work in progress and is going to be wonderful. Hosts were very kind. Definitely recommend staying here and would come back if traveling to the area.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Shower water temp was tepid & the apartment was a bit rustic but it was overall a great value. Note that there are a lot of stairs to climb to get in

If you are looking for fancy, this is not that, but it was very clean and comfortable with a full kitchen and bath. Neighborhood is beautiful, quiet, and safe. It is an above the garage apartment with a full size bed bunk bed and large tv with plenty of app choices. It fit my needs very well and the back yard below was well kept with a peaceful vibe. If i had one complaint, it doesn't have a sofa nor a comfy chair. I had one question I sent the owner by message, and he called right away instead of sending a message. That was very nice.

Comfortable, wide open space above a garage. Overall build is 1970s with small renovations. Owner puts moth balls in every closet and it is very potent. We had to take them outside. Comfortable bed and shower. Chairs are pretty hard and stiff. Owner greeted us and was very nice. It was a pleasant stay.

I booked this for a temporary accommodation to have a place to stay while I was in town working my rotation and in the process of moving from North Texas. The room was clean and had all necessities. Reaching the apartment was not difficult at all, even in the dark. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette was fantastic. The owner of the property was incredibly accommodating, he assisted me in booking an extra day when issues arose in my house buying process. Even during the brief snowpacolypse, he shoveled the snow out of the walkways. In the refreeze, the stairs were not daunting. One minor complaint, I don't like to sleep cold and the heater works great, but the top bunk blocks a lot of the heat from reaching the bottom bunk. I rectified this by buying a heated blanket. That small issue does not detract from the fact that this apartment and it's owner were both awesome and a fantastic experience and I wholly recommend the apartment. Easily give stars for me.

Smells like pesticides, host charges additional fees

I was hoping for a no frills affordable place to stay but this was not my experience at this stay. I booked this for myself as I was working in the area, but my wife and toddler stopped by while they were visiting family in Houston. I had asked the host if he could refund the reservation because children were not allowed and my son might be using the accommodation. Instead, he called me and was weird about the whole situation. He said that children were not recommended to stay there because of stairs and outdoor dogs but ‘it was up for me. To decide.’ I clearly asked him what the additional charges would be and he said ‘ 10 per night per adult.’ However, although my wife and son only stayed there one night I was charged an additional 60. When I disputed the charge I was told the extra charges were because I used both beds and it was an extra linen fees. This doesn’t make sense as hotel rooms often have 2 beds and I often use them both even when It’s just me. The night my wife and son were there we only used one bed! The host had already charged an additional 30 day for an extra guest on top of the daily rent, so it’s frustrating they wanted to charge additional fees.On top of that, the place smells awful like moth balls, rat poison and other pesticides. There was a large hairball in the drain of the shower which was gross.

Hi Claude, Your reservation was only for 1 guest, and you obtained a single-guest discount during your reservation. There were 2 additional guests who checked in, and you had to pay back the single guest discount, which you had already discounted. Also, please be honest; there was no rat poison, and housekeepers confirmed with pictures and videos there was no hairball either at the time you checked in. Anyway, sorry for the inconvenience caused.

The entrance and room were "rustic" as advertised. We could have been more comfortable if there had been a sofa, or easy chairs to watch TV. The dining table chairs got very uncomfortable when sitting on them for a while.Everything else was adequate.
