Lakeside Log Cabin Escape

The tranquility and delights of nature in luxury accommodations. Experience a night of unparalleled star gazing, wake up to the soft hues of sunrise streaming through the cabin windows, find yourself immersed in spectacular surroundings. Wildlife everywhere: a herd of 90 elk frequent our fields, lots of deer, bunnies, turkey, quail and so much more--we cannot guarantee anything, but there are bald eagle sightings about once a week! Lake so full of bass—fishing may be too easy. A photographer, hiker, rock hunter, astronomer, and dog walker’s delight, with all the comforts of a home away from home in a very comfortable and luxurious 2-bedroom log cabin. There is a nice patio outside--if you smoke, please do so there. Plenitiful and convenient parking,

Amazing getaway

Cabin was the most epic place to stay. Beautiful views from the porch. The shower it self was amazing. They had baby goats that were just the cuddly and friendly animals to see. Turtle was definitely my favorite to love on. Cant wait to go back and spend more time here.

We enjoyed the cabin ammenadies. Everything was new and beautiful inside. Comfortable beds. Awesome bathroom. All well stocked. Just bring food and cloths. It was all really dry and alot off stickers grass. Hard for the little dog to walk around. The lake was accessible. Pontoon mentioned was up the road at main home of host..drive or walk to get too. Assumed it was right by rented cabin. Saw goats. Turkeys eagles, humming birds. Great front porch to watch it all. No fire pit, but with so dry, wouldn't use for safety. There was the Evans fire north of medford on 7/10 and smoke in the air heavy.Fun, but always great to get home. It was soo quiet and peaceful at the cabin though.

Our best stay yet

We love finding cabins across the country. This one is really fantastic, so much so that we think the owner should consider providing a richer description of the landscape and privacy being at their ranch…I meant to ask the kindest proprietor, Virginia, if she knew the history of this ranch, the cabin, and possibly, the history of the natives…the stone pieces gave us the impression that this was always an abundant place. A special treat was waking up to a huge herd of very funny goats.

Beautiful getaway

Beautiful, very private spot with huge views and a lot of charm. The kitchen was very well-equipped for cooking (even a salad spinner!!), everything was comfortable, and the host(ess) was easy to work with and responsive to questions. Great fireplace and cool bathroom. Had board games and a gas grill. We didn’t have kids or pets with us but it would be fine for either. Perfect getaway!

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Good communication with guests like you is so helpful in getting the property to offer what is wanted--privacy and serenity, or fun activities. We are proud of the beauty of the home and the awesome views. I'll have to add the salad-spinner as one of our ammenities--so glad you found it useful! We are always trying to add little things like that to make a stay just a little better for guests.

If you're looking to get away

My daughter had Crater Lake National Park on her bucket list. I had never been to Oregon, but found this randomly. It looks like a Cabin in the woods, but it s far more than that. Once you walk in everything is beautiful, 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, and one of the best bathrooms you will find. Other than food, you will need nothing. All extras are included. Towels, blankets, sheets, laundry, and a fully stocked kitchen. Boats, paddle board, and fidhing rods all await also.

The view was pretty cool with the wild turkeys and goats. The lake is nice. The inside of the cabin was nice and fully equipped in the kitchen and included a nice washer and dryer. The air conditioning was adequate for the living room, but the bedrooms were very hot at night, so I ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room. It had creepy vibe, with the first picture you see when you walk in is of a scary angel entitled “dark angel.” Then a couple ghost dvds, and some books about hell in the bedroom. Then the 2nd night we were there someone tapped on the bedroom window repeatedly at about 2 am and then rubbed along the outside wall. Then when we packed up our car the next morning, there were large finger prints on the windows and doors of the car, like someone was trying to get in our car. Creepy!

The property was very peaceful and private. Being at the ranch gives you a true atmosphere of getting away from it all and being able to relax. My dog loved the swimming and wildlife. We loved sitting outside and taking it all in. I did need to get some help with the TV and they were on it immediately not to mention just super friendly and informative about the area.

It's stunningly beautiful, peaceful, and amazing access to a very abundant piece of nature and a slice of country living.

この宿泊施設の特徴

This is probably one of the largest properties you will have access to in your lifetime. There are a few folks working here, a couple others who live here, and two rental cabins--which provides a little bit of community on its 1600 acres of serenity, privacy, and natural beauty. It's not the biggest or bluest lake ever, but when was the last time you had an entire lake to yourself?
