Welcome to Agave Grove in the Yucca Mesa area of Yucca Valley, 3 miles north of Hwy. 62 and 2 blocks from Hwy. 247. Featuring a vintage vibe with instruments to play, colorful swag lights, retro furniture and an amazing 180 degree unobstructed views of Joshua Trees in the desert. 1 of 3 neighbors on a small dirt road. 15 minutes to Pioneertown & Joshua Tree. Plus, brand new insulation, ducts & AC/Heating installed June 2024.

We had an awesome experience staying and recording some music here. It's a comfy, old-school property with unique instruments and a great record collection. Very private but not far from restaurants, the farmer's market, Pioneertown, etc. Beds were comfy and house was clean!

Such a cool place. Just the right vibes for our small group of friends. I just wish the beds were comfortable. Creaky and worm out in one room and the other bed was very hard.

This house is a musician’s dream with lots of fun instruments and records to play. Quiet neighborhood, easy not involved check in and check out, spacious place that is lived in with actual midcentury decor. One bed is quite soft, the other firm, house creaks in the wind. Otherwise the heating works great for a wintertime stay.

You get a great quiet place near amenities with beautiful surroundings. The place has a wide variety of instruments if you don't bring one of your own (leave your vibraphone at home, there's one onsite). Extremely comfortable and plenty of room for 4 adults. Record player with nice music selection, VHS player with lots of movies, for when you're indoors.Kitchen was complete with everything needed to cook and prepare meals, minus a microwave, but full stove. Outdoor seating areas meant plenty of opportuny to take in the evening stars and daytime desert scenery.Beds were not as comfortable as home, but overall usable and clean, if a bit stiff. A bit more storage for personal belongings and clothing would be helpful, good if you travel light. A fantastic place! Highly recommend this place for visiting 29 Palms, Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree areas.

Very Pleased

The house was very clean and furnished. I appreciated the labeling and the welcome letter. This was a good place to step outside and stargaze. It is very close to Joshua Tree. I would stay here again.

Perfect house in the perfect location

Pictures don’t do this place justice. Far enough out where you get to unplug And enjoy the scenery but close enough to the town for convenience. Definitely recommend.

Retro Home

We checked in with ease! Everything was as advertised, it was quiet and convenient and interesting. A great place to unplug and read and enjoy the beauty of the desert. It was a rainy and windy few days so we stayed inside a lot. Hope to return soon!!

Unique and Relaxing

The property was clean and the check in process was super easy. Lots of driveway space for up to 4 cars if needed. The host has some really cool unique instruments that he allows you to play and left instructions on how to do so. Location is very close to town but about 40-60 minutes from sites like arch rock, skull rock, and the hall of horrors. Overall it was a fantastic stay, we watched some classic VHS tapes like jurassic park and indiana jones. We would definitely come back in the future! :)

Alright stay

No microwave and the fact that the cops came pound on the door looking for someone who doesnt live there it was a noce quite stay no one brotheref me besides the cop ho place to unwind

Convenient location, place is lacking

Place was dirty, kitchen is under-supplied but location is invaluable. Second toilet could not be flushed using toilet paper. Floors were filthy and broken chips left on floor of kitchen. Stay if you value access to Joshua Tree National Park

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay but sorry about the cleanliness of the floor. I usually clean the house myself but was out of town for the holidays and hired a cleaner who must’ve missed that. The kitchen should have been equipped with coffee and tea and all the condiments, let me know if there’s something else i was missing. And sorry about the plumbing in the guest room, I’m working on resolving that issue. I’ll look into the chipped paint. Thank you!
