Welcome to our idyllic 4-bedroom (sleeps 8 adults), 2-bathroom farmhouse nestled in the heart of Southwestern Holmes County, Ohio. A haven for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful escape. Our retreat offers a unique blend of tranquility, stunning landscapes, and the comforts of home. Immerse yourself in the beauty of 160 acres of woodlands, rolling hills, and grassy pastures. A working cattle farm with breathtaking hilltop views, where the beauty of nature and the Mohican Wildlife Area meets the charm of Amish Country.

Here you may enjoy the quiet serenity and marvel at God's celestial wonders from the comfort of your own private retreat. Explore the 160 acres of land including pastures, farmland, woods and untamed cow/deer paths that surround the property. Whether you're an avid hiker, bird watcher, leaf peeper, or simply looking for a leisurely walk, the natural beauty of the landscape awaits you.

Escape the hustle and bustle in our extremely private setting, allowing you to collect your thoughts and re-balance in a peaceful environment. Unwind on our spacious decks, equipped with a firepit and on-site grille, creating an inviting space for evening get-togethers. Share stories, roast marshmallows, and create lasting memories under the starlit sky.

Discover tranquility by our serene pond. It's the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Southwestern Holmes County.

We are positioned conveniently between Amish Country (Millersburg: 11 mi. & Berlin: 17 mi.) and the Mohican Wildlife Area (Mohican State Park: 13 mi.). Our retreat provides easy access to shopping, cultural attractions, and outdoor adventures.

**A 4-wheel drive vehicle is necessary to access this property in the winter due to the steep incline of the driveway.**

Farm in the woods

This was a great family getaway spot. It was away from the hectic city and quiet. The only diversion was the occasional visit from the cows and the were wonderful. These wer very nice accommodations for our whole extended family.

The property sits on 160 acres in the country. Beautiful setting up on the side of hill. very peaceful and quiet. Only hearing sounds from the cows, grazing near by. Alot of room in the house and Very clean. We would definitely stay there again. Our 2 boxers loved the place as well

Wonderful Getaway

We had a family get together over the holiday weekend and wanted somewhere quiet where we could visit.The property is quaint with great scenery and so many places to relax and unplug. We enjoyed the scenery, star gazing at night, and seeing the cows. The house was well stocked with everything you need. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend! Secluded Getaway

The property is an actual working cattle farm. We had some great hikes walking the property. It was great to see the cattle walk down to the water hole in the morning and come back up the hill right past the house. Property was well stocked and wi-fi worked well.

Fun, relaxing weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, peaceful property. The house was beautiful, well stocked, and very clean. When we weren’t visiting the Amish shops, we were back at the house enjoying the peaceful beautiful landscape. It was hard to leave. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous setting!

We loved our stay in this beautiful farmhouse. The home itself provided plenty of space, while feeling “together” at the same time. The property is huge, which gave tons of privacy and gorgeous views as we walked around the immediate area. It’s close enough to nearby attractions, but far enough out to be peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely recommend it!

Beyond great

Beyond great experience! The house was cuter than the pictures could show. The land was beautiful and the walking trails were fun. Definitely would recommend for a fun trip and you could stay at the house the whole time and have a blast.

Staying at this quaint farmhouse was one of the highlights of our 5 day family vacation to Amish country. Some days we didn’t want to leave. We felt like we were on Walton’s Mountain. The host told us to get up to see the sunrise over the hills. We got amazing pictures of grandkids sitting on haystacks watching sunrise through misty rolling hills. The kitchen is fully stocked and there’s a grill outside. Plenty of room for 9 of us and we didn’t want to leave. Hope to go back. Thank you Ted for a wonderful experience. It’s our first VRBO experience, and doubt nothing will compare.

Amazing Place to Stay

The house is amazing. The property is amazing. Our whole stay was totally amazing. We celebrated my 70th birthday there. Great communication with property owners. A great place to detox from the world, internet.and relax. All kinds of critters and at night, the stars are amazing, too. Close to Mohican State Park and fun towns to walk through.

Gorgeous Get Away!

We had the best girls weekend here with our two dogs! The house is absolutely beautiful and so well equipped. We spent the weekend cooking in the big kitchen, lounging in the stunning 3 seasons room and letting the dogs run around the property. We loved seeing the cows wander by the windows in the morning. Would absolutely recommend and we will definitely be back!

Great start to kick off our summer!! Thanks for sharing your place for us to enjoy!! We enjoyed a nice peaceful and relaxing weekend at the farm!! Off-the-Grid Beauty

A great country house with lots of land, a pond to fish/swim in, and beautiful views. Off the grid in just the right way. Ted was very helpful and responsive. The house was clean and well cared for. The location makes a day trip to Mohican State Park or Amish Country easy.

This place was wonderful!

We really enjoyed our time here and enjoyed the serenity this place has to offer. Great opportunity for nature walks. Definitely needed to slow life down and we certainly did. A great stay….again!

This was our second time staying at this lovely farmhouse. During this stay, we had our extended family with us to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! Plenty of space for each of us, and we were able to spend more time exploring the gorgeous countryside along the property’s mowed walking paths. There is no air conditioning; however, the house stayed perfectly cool with the use of the whole house attic fan. Thank you so much for providing a great stay and a beautiful memory!

Family Vacation

This property is definitely a get away from the real world. It was definitely an experience without AC but the weather was perfect and no one even complained once about not having AC. The house has a big house fan and with the windows open it kept the house cool at night, and during the day we were out. The property has a good size pond on it and the boys fished a lot, and played out on the property. Just sitting back and listening to nature and catching up with family is just what we all needed. The Walmart is about 20 mins away and Kroger's about 30 mins, there are a good amount of mom and pop restaurants, and Amish restaurants & markets. I would highly recommend this property
