Whitewater Lodge is the riverfront vacation home that dreams are made of! With strong natural light and riverside views, this home features an array of amenities and features that will make your vacation unforgettable. From the spacious game room to enjoying the peaceful ripple of the South Fork of the Rio Grande on the private island gazebo, the Whitewater Lodge will make you want to come back to South Fork again and again.

You'll immediately feel at home within the open layout on the main level. The main level living room has vaulted ceilings and a warm gas fireplace that is the perfect place for your whole group after a fun day at Wolf Creek Ski Resort. The spacious kitchen layout has everything your group will need to whip up dinner in the gourmet kitchen while looking out onto the river vista, featuring stainless steel appliances and all the dishware you'll need for a perfect meal. The dining room seats up to 10 guests at the large table, plus three more at the breakfast bar. Off the main entrance, step onto the back deck to view the hillside and river ambiance. This is the perfect place to relax and stargaze. If you prefer to stay and entertain at the house you will find the detached game room which has exactly what you are looking for with a large fireplace, ample seating, large projector screen, dry bar, pool table, and shuffleboard.

Vacation Entertainment Options
Situated at the gateway to the San Juans, Whitewater Lodge offers a perfect mix of privacy and seclusion while having all the conveniences of the quaint town of South Fork within a walk or brief drive. When everyone builds up an appetite from hiking or river activities, local hubs such as Rachel’s Keep On Keeping On Coffee Stand and Bar (a great stroll to start your morning), Two Rivers BBQ Restaurant, Ramones Mexican, and Mountain Pizza & Taproom will hit the spot in nearby South Fork. Guests can enjoy the close proximity of the Rio Grande Club & Resort with golf play and two restaurants open to the public. Enjoy nature with spectacular views when you take the mountain bike out on Beaver Mountain Trail, Tewksberry Trail, or Trout Trail. Need some bait for tomorrow's fishing trip, or just throwing some lines from the island? Just head over to Wolf Creek Anglers and Rio Outfitters (both just walking distance from the home) for all the bait and tackle you'll need.

Great location on the river. Amazing game room! Lots of towels so we didn't run out and extra blankets to make it a cozy house. We loved our stay.

It was the perfect stay for our July 4th weekend with family. We enjoyed waking up in the cool morning, drinking coffee on the deck, and listening to the river. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed.

We've stayed here several times, and we absolutely love it here. It has everything we need, it's cozy, it's clean, kid-friendly/dog friendly, beautiful view, extremely peaceful, and the owners are helpful and kind. We LOVE it!!

We had a great time at this property, well suited to visit the Sand Dunes and Pagosa Springs. The game room and fire pits were a huge hit with the kids. Waking up in the morning beside the river was extremely relaxing. Would highly recommend!

Senior Trip

We took our son and 4 of his friends to this cabin to ski Wolf Creek. The location is excellent, and the view from the back of the cabin is amazing. The interior space was amazing, and the hot tub was well-maintained.

The property on the river has so much potential but lacks serious pride in ownership. We have stayed at many of the hosts rentals and have to say this oneneeds LOTS of TLC 360 degrees.

On the river in Southfork

This is a really nice house in a very scenic yet convenient location. The property mngr. is local and very responsive. We enjoyed staying here and would come back again.

Perfect house for a ski trip!

The location was perfect. We had a great time in the game room and hot tub. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. TVs and projector screen were easy to operate. Tankless hot water heater andboot warmer were pluses. No complaints with this home and would stay here again.

Nice house by the river

We stayed two nights and found the house to be well stocked and nicely located. We enjoyed walking to the funky local coffee shop in the morning. One thing that needs to be updated: the king size mattress in the primary bedroom sags terribly in the middle.

It was a great weekend away but the heavy rain caused the river to flood. Therefore no fishing,just whitewater. The cleaning crew didnt remove a big pile of trash from the game room. The TV in the geroom was broken. When you pay this much for a weekend one would expect perfection. In a positive light the beds were very comfortable and cabin kitchen was well stocked. All in all we had a great time.

Book it!

This is hands down one of the best places I’ve stayed yet. The game room kept us entertained the entire stay. The view is spectacular with the river and mountain in the back. The house was well stocked with pretty much anything you could need. The location of the house was also awesome. Ski rentals, restaurants, and grocery stores were pretty much walking distance. The host is very easy to communicate with and will help with any problems or needs. As long as this place fits your needs, I would go out of your way to book this beautiful place.

Great place to stay. Had a small issue , one call and management immediately responded. Cons -house needs a deep cleaning. Dust, dust, dust. Hot tub - out of order. Didn’t see that posted on rental advertisement. Was posted in info book of house.

Needs a thorough cleaning

Unfortunately, the cabin was not clean. The kitchen sink had crumbs in it. The coffee maker and stove were dirty. There were a few cob webs but the worst part was all the dust bunnies. They were on the fans (especially the upstairs bedroom fan), in the window sills and on the ceiling above the stove. We also found trash in the house from previous people. The entryway to the house and to the game room was not scooped and was very slick. This was an accident waiting to happen and a liability. I booked this cabin because of the game room and thought by kids would enjoy it. The pool table was nice but the table video game and shuffle board were both not in operation, which was not mentioned in the listing. The hot tub was not operational either. The location was nice and easy to find. The cabin would have been nice had it been clean.

Honestly, this set of clients goes down as one of the worst set of renters we have seen over the years and we have been in business a long time. They never indicated a single problem about their stay until after they had left. Then they demanded a full refund. It is imperative to note that nothing was mentioned during their stay. They gave a 1 star review when they didn’t get what they wanted. Management Companies in the area should be proceed with caution ⛔️ regarding these clients. Our Head Cleaner visited the property after seeing this review and concluded there were a few small items that might need addressed. We have notified our cleaners and will take care of these items. There was a storm that came in and our crews removed the ice and snow the best we could with the conditions. The Hottub was never conveyed as working and yet they put it in the review. There are some items that we recognize need to be taken care of like carpets being stretched etc. We are on the list and waiting for these items to be wrapped up. Unfortunately, this cabin caught an extremely unfair review. Feel free to reach out to us if you are interested in booking this home and we can visit with you about any potential concerns.

The cabin was amazing. It was beautiful. The game room was definitely a bonus feature with shuffle board, pool table, an arcade game, a big projector screen, speakers for music, colored lights but we couldnt figure out how to work them. Then you had the river front with the island gazebo that was a gorgeous setting. The hot tub was great on the cold nights. The porch is a great place to just sit and watch the sun set. The inside of the cabin is beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes. And kathy at the reality office was super nice and easy to work with. The only reason this place did not get a 10/10 is because it was lacking in cleanliness. When we first walked in the cabin looked very clean. But when we were getting ready for bed our sheets and pillow cases were dirty. Then when we took a shower our towels smelled liked wet dog. In the game room, i started sneezing and coughing a lot and my throat became itchy and swollen, the blanket over the back of the couch was covered in animal hair, which Im allergic to. Inside the cabin when I took my socks off they were covered in animal fur. The reality company definitely needs to hire better cleaners. Other than that, this was the perfect cabin!.
