This was a very last-minute booking because we could not find 3 hotel rooms together and we had a family emergency. The home was perfect, big spacious clean rooms. Host was amazing and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful place. Tucked away in west Monroe. The home was beautiful. Convenient to town, shops, etc. our host was great.

Over all the stay was great. It’s has a huge yard that our kids played lots of wiffle ball in. Beds were comfortable and clean. The water pressure in the showers could have been a little better but otherwise no complaints

Dirt track race getaway

My son races and we found this lovely gem to stay in for our whole weekend, and everything was great. They accommodated our parking for the race cars and trailers. It was spacious and a very peaceful stay. Property manager was very responsive and helpful. Will definitely book again for our next race.

Plan to stay here again!

Amazing communication & customer service!The AC unit went out, (these things happen) the owners were on top of it, got somebody out there fast to get it fixed, she even stayed with me the whole time, we chatted about the area gave me some recommendations on things to do! The house is super cute/cozy,and has everything you need, not too far from town easy to get in and out of! (The kids (ages 8 & 9yrs.old thought the big closets were amazing they have a lot of room to lay their toys and suitcases out)

Review of Historic Rails

We loved this restored historic home! Just moments from I-20, the location is convenient yet secluded, providing a lovely, relaxing stay. Inside, the rooms are spacious and nicely appointed, with closets big enough to sleep in! Kitchen, bathroom, and floors are nicely redone. Plenty of parking and beautiful surroundings! Our family enjoyed it very much, and we highly recommend it.

A sibling/spouses trip brought us to West Monroe. We had a wonderful stay at Historic Rails. Just as described and pictured. We had everything we needed and communication was excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Great for our one night stay

It was a quick stay but it was very nice. Beds are super comfortable. The train noise was barely noticable as a matter of fact half of the people said they didn't notice it at all. Location was right off highway but in a really quiet neighborhood. Went for a morning walk, the street was safe and quiet. Highly recommend!

Lots of Potential

Overall, this is a fine property. Plenty of room with lots of natural light. Washer/Dryer is recently purchased. Flooring new and adds to overall brightness of property. A few issues...in the Master' bedroom, there is a hump in the flooring which, when unaware of it, causes one to run into the door since one doesn't expect the door to grab. Also, in Master Closet, there needs to be quarter round installed YESTERDAY!. The almost one inch difference in heights results in stubbed toes and worse. There were no rods in any of the bedrooms; additionally, the dishwasher door is a bit off center which gives the impression the thing will leak if used. Now, the property owner did a fine job addressing our concerns during our stay which we greatly appreciated. Also, making timely repairs to these issues will make this property one we would consider using again. The covered driveway on the front of the house was greatly appreciated as the weather was not the best during our stay. Like we said, a fine property with lots of potential.

Cute Historic Remake

Came in for a wedding with my family. Home was clean and comfortable also close to highway, restaurants and a Super Walmart (to get food to cook). Well stocked cabinets with everything we needed to cook all meals for our family. Would definitely return when I’m back in town!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and comfortable. We had some plumbing issues but was able to get it fixed quickly by the on call help. Thank you for a good stay.

Great stay!!

We had a great stay! The accommodations were really nice. We made good use of the large kitchen, dining and laundry. The kids enjoyed the big backyard. Communication with Kristin was great also, as it turns out, we had to extend our stay for two extra days, and reaching out to her and Vrbo turned out to be really easy. Definitely recommend!

Baseball Trip

The property is in a convenient location. The house is well decorated with lots of character. The house worked well for two families to stay comfortably. The host was in contact to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. We had a great stay at the RR Retreat! Highly recommend.

Nice place to stay and would do it again

The property was located in a nice neighborhood outside of town. The accommodations were excellent. We had 4 adults and three children in our party. The stay was quite enjoyable.

Excellent!!

Easy reservation, great communication, and friendly host. Decorated so beautifully, we spent 20 mins admiring the decor! Comfortable beds, has all amenities needed, great location for travelers. Love the history of the place and the farmhouse theme. Will stay again!!
