Come enjoy world class fishing and the outdoors in our log cabin minutes from Richmond! We have done an entire renovation inside and out keeping luxury at the heart of everything we have done. 10 minutes from Kings Dominion will make our home the perfect weekend get away for adventure balanced with fishing and nature walks. Finish the evening sitting around our gas fire pit telling stories about the fish that did not get away!

Such an awesome house and host! We had my son’s wedding just down the road at Seven Springs and this house was perfect for us! Tucked away in the woods with a beautiful pond to fish! The log cabin feel mixed with modern comfort was amazing. Such a nice retreat. We’re already planning our next stay.

Very impressed by this house and the cleanliness. Our host stayed in contact with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The views were lovely on the porch. The only thing i would suggest is more throws to cozy up with in the great room. Other than that it was perfect!

Small, mighty and totally unexpected

We had such a wonderful time at this cabin! We originally planned our visit to the area for Kings Dominion, and my small-but-particular party was delighted to discover how close this place was to the park! We also found many nearby locations with ties to our nation's earliest notable figures and Civil War historical sites. Our first impressions of the cabin came as we approached it from the driveway. Logically, you know you're not far from restaurants, stores, and tourist attractions, but the cabin is peaceful and beautiful, surrounded by trees and a quiet pond. Inside, we found a cabin that was spacious, tastefully decorated, and beautifully renovated. In addition to the towels and sheets already at the property, we discovered soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion—a fantastic perk when traveling—waiting for us in spa-like bathrooms that were spacious and provided ample storage. The kitchen was well-designed, open to the living room, and a nice space. And wait until you find the secret (and fun!) loft space that overlooks the cabin's main space. Outside, you'll find covered porches, a fire pit, and space to stretch your legs.Another bonus of this trip? The homeowner was responsive, attentive, and clearly wants anyone who rents his home to have a good stay. He was patient as we made sure we had all the information we needed to get into the cabin, left instructions that were clear and easy to find once inside, and even checked in with us both during and after our stay to m

Our Daughter got married over the weekend 10 minutes away at Alturia Farm. The house was fantastic, very clean and was just like what was listed on VRBO. The owner communicated extreme well. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Highly recommended

Fantastic stay at a quiet retreat!

We had an amazing weekend at this beautiful property, that our 4 year old affectionately nicknamed "The Lincoln Log House". From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house was beautifully decorated and is very well taken care of, the photos dont do it justice. And we have stayed at many rental properties over the years, and this house was the cleanest house we've ever stayed at. Usually even if a house looks clean when you walk around barefoot your feet get dirty...not this house! Every square inch of this house was spotless!! We really loved the screened in porch to enjoy our morning coffee and watch the sunrise over the pond, and the dock was a perfect spot to do some family bonding while fishing. The location was ideal – quiet and peaceful and secluded, yet still not too far from restaurants and a grocery store. And we were less than an hour from home, so we had a perfect getaway without having to go too far. The host was more than helpful trying to find somrthing we left behind and communicated very well throughout our stay. Overall, this was the perfect place for our weekend getaway, and we definitely plan to return. Would highly recommend for anyone!!

Relaxing Stop on our Journey Home from SC

My family of 6 had a wonderful stay at Blake’s beautifully decorated waterfront log cabin just outside Richmond. The cabin was filled with charming details which added to ambiance of the home. In addition, the starter set of supplies was greatly appreciated so that we didn’t need to unpack a ton of items. Meanwhile, the location was perfect for our travel needs and afforded us the added benefit of unwinding on our way home while staying close to our desired route. The location was very serene while still being within 10-15 min to Doswell/Kings Dominion and I-95. The kids loved spending time fishing and exploring the property. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing on the newly built dock and screened in porch overlooking the peaceful pond. The host was top notch and communicated well, readily responding to any questions we had. I would highly recommend Blake’s cabin to any one looking for a peaceful getaway to enjoy nature and fishing.
