Cozy little hideaway

Really liked this little hidden gem. It was just what the wife and I was looking for. Quite, private, peaceful and restful. We enjoyed sitting outside and stargaze before enjoying some quite reading time. If you're looking for a private cool getaway, this one is it.

I read the reviews for the container home before booking and was looking forward to my weekend stay with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, the reviews were deceiving. The container home was not clean upon our arrival. It seemed like the sheets had been washed and kitchen counters wiped down but the bathroom, the bath mat, floors, rug, mirror, etc. were not clean. The air conditioner was leaking and dripping on the floor. I really wanted to love this place! With a little more attention to cleanliness it would be great for a couple!!

Amazing escape!

I had a work trip and prefer staying out of hotels and in nature. This little gem hit every one of my preferences! Its seclusion and peaceful surroundings make it a 10/10 for me. The house was spotless, the bed was SO COMFY, and it made for the perfect getaway. I often have negative experiences with shower sizes for my husband (he’s tall). The shower was big enough for him and the shower head was tall! Water heating took seconds and it wasn’t hard water. Check in and out for my stay was a breeze. The owners did an excellent job with every detail from interior design and floor planning. I hope to come back someday!

While this home looks cute at first glance, it is absolutely not the 'Luxury' property advertised. Upon our Saturday evening arrival, the cleanliness was unacceptable: the living room rug was filthy, the kitchen butcher block had black mold, the freezer had old spills, and corners were full of hair and cobwebs. The shower was covered in pink slime, the patio furniture was too dirty to use, and backyard weeds were taller than me. Worst of all, every single pillow and mattress was heavily stained. If it had not been so late at night, we would have left and found somewhere else to stay. Instead, we had to drive to a nearby Dollar General to buy shower cleaner, our own new pillows and bedding just to shower and sleep comfortably, which was far from ideal. When I messaged the host with photos, she blamed the mattress stains on previous guests leaving wet towels. She did not address my request for a partial refund until Tuesday, after I reached out to Vrbo customer service. She finally apologized, issued a 50% refund, and admitted the home was 'off' due to a previous three-month long-term guest with pets. While she claims to have since deep-cleaned and replaced the rug and bedding, I highly suggest future guests ask for updated photos before renting. The outdoor space is secluded and could be very nice, but the initial lack of maintenance and delayed communication made this a highly frustrating stay.

I love to host, travel, and spend time with our family and friends on our small farm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. My many years traveling the world have given me a global perspective, but have also taught me to appreciate home. Whether it's hiking the great wall of China, horseback riding in Ireland, or sitting on the porch watching the sunset with a glass of wine I have learned to love the power of the human experience.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The contrast of the ultra modern container home in the rural country setting is amazing and unique. We really think you will love what we have built out here.
