Great time overall

My family and I had a great time there. We had some issues with roaches due to the neighbor bombing their house. There was some issues with the drain in the bathroom being stopped up. I had to clean it out so they could shower in the smaller bathroom. The owners rea hed out multiple time checking in to make sure we didn't need anything. The neighbors were friendly and welcoming. The train keeps you up at night though.

Do Not Book this place!

We booked this place for my daughter’s softball tournament. When we arrived I knew immediately we could not stay here. The neighborhood was not safe at all! In addition, the house next to this place is completely falling-in and VERY close to it. We left within five minutes of arriving and wind up paying for a hotel stay. I contacted the host to voice my concerns and requested partial refund being I did not feel safe in this neighborhood especially with my child being with me. A month later and our refund has not shown up, even though the host claims it has been processed. I have contacted VRBO for further assistance. Been dealing with this over a month! Lesson learned, if the house listing does not include pictures of the outside do not book. Host did not accurately describe the house in the listing. Wish I would have taken pictures to post in review, another lesson learned.

Bad location

The inside of the home is represented accurately by the photos on the listing, but the neighborhood was not. It’s in a neighborhood that appears dangerous. Run down homes on either side that were super close to one another. Owner was somewhat easy to contact, inside was nice. But just not a good experience.

Wilmington

This was my first time renting a home vs a hotel and I loved the experience. My only negatives were , the freezer was broken (when pulled out it had no bottom but we were able to use the shelf part) , the neighborhood wasn’t great ( the house across the street had people hanging out front and in the street with very loud music late into the night), and I was unaware of the train that goes by very close to the house blaring its horn. But overall I loved the experience.
