The Harbor Bay Home is a very unique property situated on the water which is commonly known as the fingers. Situated among the canals of Port Isabel with lovely views of the water with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, this waterfront home is a place for unwinding in the crisp Gulf breeze. It is minutes from the beaches on South Padre Island. From the home, you can leave the fingers (Canals) and fish in the Lower Laguna Madre in seconds. It's a short boat ride to leave the bay passing through the jetties and right into the Gulf of Mexico. Also, a short boat ride and you can be up close and personal to the rockets at Space X from the water. After a day spent fishing, boating, or lounging on the nearby beaches of South Padre Island, you can relax and watch the sunsets which are so tranquil with spectacular views that can be viewed on the large deck overlooking the fingers. Also, from the deck you can enjoy the fireworks that are shot almost every weekend during the summer months. If you are fortunate enough to have this home booked during a Space X launch you can enjoy it right from the deck!
This property is on the top floor of a two-story home, which is located on Port Isabel's canals commonly known as the fingers that connect to greater Lower Laguna Madre. It's a setting that's both scenic and convenient, just over a mile from the heart of downtown where you will find a variety of small locally owned shops and dining. The Port Isabel Lighthouse is a State Historic Site which is available for tours. For a fun day at the beach, head over the causeway to South Padre Island or visit the Isla Blanca state park. Nearby, you'll also find Treasures of the Gulf Museum, Long Island Village Golf Course, and Sea Turtle, Inc. There is entertainment for the whole family to enjoy from chartered inshore and offshore fishing trips, parasailing, dolphin tours, go-carts, and horseback riding, just to name a few. Restaurants are all up and down the island and several options for nightlife are all within minutes of this beautiful home.
Bright colors and plentiful windows are a constant throughout the house, creating a bright, cheerful space to return to each evening. You will want to take advantage and enjoy your cocktails, dinners, lunches, and even breakfast out on the deck where you can enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. For the early birds, enjoy your coffee on the deck, watch the beautiful sunrise, and listen to the fish jumping.
Inside, enjoy a colorful kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a window-lined dining area, and a light-filled living room with a comfortable sectional and a TV. Central air-conditioning, complimentary WiFi, and a private washer/dryer round out the in-home essentials.
The Harbor Bay Home can be rented separately or rented together with Harbor Bay Studio which is located downstairs.
Things to Know
If you only want to rent the Harbor Home upstairs you do not have full access to the home meaning the boat slip area downstairs, dock downstairs, or the green light. To get access, please rent Harbor Bay Studio.
There is no boat slip access at this property. The owner's boat and boat slip are not available for guest use. There is a public boat ramp one block down the street.
This Vacasa Guestworks vacation rental is operated and managed locally by an independent host.
Prior to your arrival, you will receive local host contact information, who will manage your guest reservation. Your local host will provide in-stay support, secure entry, and arrange pre- and post-stay housekeeping services.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
Security camera details: Cameras are located on the front of the home viewing the garages and parking area in front of the garages. There is a ring on the front door. There is a camera mounted on the left side of the main door which watches the parking pad and the gate to the lower deck. There is a camera upstairs which covers the door on the deck and the entire top deck. There are two cameras in the boat dock area which covers the entire boat slips, lift, dock, and fish cleaning station.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
