Lovely house with a stunning view. We were two couples and stayed for eight nights in July. If you’re not familiar with Paros, the house is located at the southern end in a quiet location, away from the traffic and tourists in Paroikia and Naoussa. It’s still easy to drive up to those towns if you want a night out. The closest towns, about 5 minutes drive, are Alyki and Piso Alyki. There you can find tavernas and even a small supermarket that has most items you’ll need to stock your frig.
The house is really nice and comfortable. It must have been built in the last few years, so having the updated kitchen and bathrooms are a real treat. Having a washer/dryer was also a great convenience. A hanging clothes rack was provided so you can use it for your beach towels, bathing suits etc., or for air drying your clean laundry. The kitchen has the essentials and there is a BBQ grill outside if you’re so inclined. We stayed in and cooked/BBQ’d about half our nights there and found everything we needed. Eating outside on the veranda at sunset is a must.
We had a few mishaps with housekeeping (damp towels at check-in, towels not dried properly the day the housekeepers visited, bed sheets may have been in storage and smelled musty). However, I have communicated these issues to the owners and they explained that they are in the process of finding new housekeepers, so future guests should not have the same issues we did.
NOTE: If you are not fluent in Greek, please make sure you let the owners know so that they can possibly arrange for a different manager to assist at check-in and check-out, as ours spoke only Greek. I speak a little Greek so we managed with a bit of difficulty. It would have been impossible otherwise.
Overall, we enjoyed the house and the beautiful island of Paros very much. If the owners do remedy the few issues we had, your stay should be most enjoyable and relaxing.
