House and property are beautiful! Layout worked out perfect for our group(2 families) . The kids loved the basement area with all the games . House had everything you needed plus some. Most of all Elizabeth was amazing and we give her an A on communication. We had some weather related issues and she was so helpful! Extra bonus to point out this house has a generator so when the power went out it don’t not disrupted us enjoying the house!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed and much more. Kids had a blast playing table tennis, badminton, watching movies on the giant screen, and the list goes on! Location was perfect, close to Phoenicia and Woodstock.

Great property and house in a great location!

Had a wonderful 5-night stay with 4 adults and 3 children. Nice location with easy access to towns and skiing. Plenty of space for all. Great yard with beautiful views of the mountains. Lots of activities and toys in the house to keep everyone entertained. House had everything we needed. Communication with and instructions from the host were very good Highly recommend.

Great weekend in the Catskills

Elizabeth's home was a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and fantastic for families--lots of fun stuff to do inside and out. We didn't want to leave, and hope we'll be back!

Fantastic house with great views!

We had a wonderful girls-weekend-getaway in Elizabeth's home -- she was very responsive to emails and very helpful. The living/dining/kitchen area is spacious and comfortable...lots of interesting books around...and a gas fireplace that heats the first floor nicely. The master bedroom is GORGEOUS with a fantastic view and a great bathroom. The two main floor bedrooms are super cozy...all of the beds were comfortable with warm bedding (it was 16 degrees the weekend we were there). The basement is spacious and has big screen tv if that is your thing; the bunkroom basement is probably best for kids/teens...but two adults in our group selpt in there and (even though they had master bedroom envy), they were totally fine -- the beds were very comfortable. The house is 20 minutes from Woodstock and very close to numerous hiking trails. I higly recommend this house and we would absolutely stay there again.

Wonderful Wedding Weekend

My 8 year old daughter asked me to shrink the house, pack it and bring it back home with us! Elizabeth's home was a wonderful base for my brother's and my families while we enjoyed our little sister's wedding at nearby Foxfire. Lots of breakfasts on the deck, the kids loved all sharing a room with multiple bunkbeds and an ever changing coloured light on the ceiling. The home has the grace of lots of room and light - and while there were 8 of us here, it never felt crowded. Also, Elizabeth's instructions were very clear with many good ideas of how to enjoy the region - hiking, groceries, restaurants. We do recommend it to anyone, especially families.

beautiful house, very cozy and friendly.

Beautiful home. Clean, and uncluttered. Everything worked wonderfully in the home. It was secluded enough to feel private, yet close enough to town to make quick trips and get supplies.The owner was attentive and helpful, and always available when we had questions. I definitely recommend this home.

Awesome Home

This house is in fact a beautiful home, spacious, clean with all amenities you should need. I had my children and their spouses with four grandchildren and we had enough room and space to not be in each other's way. I highly recommend it for families though a couple would still enjoy it immensely.

Beautiful property and home in great location

We had a wonderful time at Elizabeth's home over the Christmas holiday. House was exactly as described and we were thrilled. We even had a snow storm mid week which added to the entire experience. Hill in front was perfect for sledding and we all had a great time. Looking forward to returning next year!

Lovely home - Great Catskills retreat!!

We have just returned from a great fall weekend at this property and would love to return!! A lovely home in a lovely setting - the pictures give you a sense but do not do it justice. It was perfect for our group of two families with young children. We took full advantage of the very well-equipped kitchen and the kids loved the bunk room as well as the great selection of toys. And the hot tub was great on a cool fall evening!! The owner is easy to communicate with and provided clear instructions on the ins ands outs of the home. Recommend!!

Beautiful home - recommend

I rented Elizabeth's home for a weekend (Fri-Sun) in February with five other girlfriends. The home itself is chic, while still maintaining a very cosy cabin vibe. Leading up to our weekend, Elizabeth was very helpful and responsive with all my questions. She had all directions and instructions prepared neatly and it was very simple driving our way up from Manhattan. The home is wonderful and fully stocked with everything you would need for a relaxing weekend. It is clean and the beds are comfortable. We had difficulty with the hot tub (the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars), but Elizabeth was incredibly helpful and patient. We were not able to resolve the issue but we all still had a really nice time. I would definitely recommend and would even return myself.

Lovely Home and Area

This is the second year that myself and a small group of women friends have rented this beautiful place and we loved it just as much this time as the first! The home is spacious and comfortable with all amenities that you could need. The fireplace is lovely and heats the house well, the hot tub is fun and the beds are comfortable and plenty! There is a beautiful hike right from the house that takes you to an amazing vista looking back toward the reservoir. Elizabeth is easy to deal with and very helpful -- she even checked in with us to be sure we got there and all was OK. Perfect rental!

Beyond perfection....

This home was everything that we could have expected and more. There were so many fun activities inside the home and out to do that kept our group of 9 ladies entertained. The house was clean and inviting. The kitchen was stocked perfectly with all we needed to make our meals and the rooms were spacious for us all to be tucked in when it came time for sleep. The owners were beyond amazing with communication and helping plan the weekend. The views were spectacular and town was a quick drive through the gorgeous scenery and Woodstock was such an amazing place to visit and the flea market was so fun to wander!!! I can't honestly think of a single complaint other than we don't live there all the time. This place truly refreshed us all and was exactly what we needed to get us through another year until we join up again. Thank you thank you thank you sooooooo much to the amazing owners for letting us live and breathe in your perfect home. I have so many memories and your home was the center point for it all. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a little escape and some memory making!!!

Great Mountain House

This house was even better than the pictures show. Great views. Modern, comfortable log cabin. Tons of space. Fun built in activities: badminton, pool table, fire bit, ping pong & hot tub. It was also quite remote. A perfect place for the family or in my case, a boys weekend. Slept 6 comfortably with privacy. Deck was essential and the open living room was built for the humble but glorious stereo system. Throw in aa fireplace, new grill, telescope and a view for a postcard and I say we couldn't have been happier. 100% satisfied and the host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

Wedding weekend

I rented this home so my family could all stay in one house for my son's wedding. There were 8 people staying here. From seniors to children, all enjoyed the spacious living quarters, the porch, and the large comfortable bedrooms. The view of the mountains is spectacular. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. It was a perfect vacation home. The owner was very easy to contact. They provided all the needed information and answered all our questions in a timely manner. The rental process was a simple, all completed online.

Better than advertised!

This home was absolutely wonderful. It had every single thing we could need. The home was comfortable, clean and beautiful inside and out. This home is equipped to serve anyone's needs whether it's a romantic weekend, girl's weekend, and it is definitely kid/family friendly as well! It rained pretty heavily during the second night of our stay but we were all perfectly happy to sit inside or on the porch and enjoy each others company listening to the rain. Due to the weather we didn't get a chance to use the hot tub, fire pit and only took a very short hike but that didn't take away from our stay at all! That's how great this place is. I cannot wait to come back and neither can my friends.

Beautiful, clean property

Spent a weekend here with 7 friends. The house is beautiful, clean and new. The photographs do not do it justice. The owners have though of everything! Location is also great - close to hiking and kayaking. The master bedroom is gorgeous with a beautiful bathtub.

Very Nice Property

Stayed at this property to get off the grid and experience all that the Catskill Mountains have to offer. Family of 5 with 3 kids. Had a blast. Cooked hamburgers and hot dogs in the fire pit, played many games of pool while watching videos off Netflix, cooked lots of meals in the kitchen stocked with all the cooking tools you would require. We knew we were off the grid seeing turkey, deer, ducks, and black bear in the yard during the week. Would recommend this property to anyone.

Perfect mountain retreat

I cannot imagine a more comfortable, restful place to spend a day or a week. From the deck, which is expansive, you can enjoy the sunset, listen to the breeze, or watch the dense white fog that sometimes rises up out of the valley after a rain. My favorite thing to do there was read and sip tea on the deck (most of which is under the roof, so you can be out there sunshine or storm), but twice we did make the 10-minute drive into Phoenicia for a taste of civilization. As others have mentioned, there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby, but we mostly did our own cooking. The kitchen is great to work in and is well-stocked (pots & pans, tea kettle, toaster, cutting boards, knives, Cuisinart, even a salad spinner… just no electric mixer), and there are enough dishes to serve an army. Everything in the kitchen and in the house as a whole is in perfect working order. Elizabeth provided all the information we needed. By the time we left, I felt a real attachment to the place. I am looking forward to going back.

My husband and I bought this house in August 2013 after spending many years renting in the Catskills. We love the area and love having a place for our two kids to romp in the woods, dig for salamanders in the creek, and search for frogs by the little pond.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We made a list of all the things we hoped for in a house, knowing we would have to make compromises. But when we saw this house, it had everything: a spectacular view, backs up to acres and acres of state land, beautiful woods, a creek, an open living area, and enough beds to be able to invite our friends and family to join us, but also a good size for when it is just the four of us. Our kids say the best part is the porch swing where we we eat popcorn and watch the storms roll in from the across the valley. I especially love how alive the woods are with birds, deer, turkeys and all kinds of little creatures.
