Summer time is here! Visit Truckee Thursday in old town & visit crafter and vendors. Blues Tuesdays at Palisades Village music, drink, and food avail. admission free.. Take the children through the educational Donner Party museum at Donner Lake. Hike or Bike the trails or take a dip from small beach at Donner lake.. Boat, board rentals plus at lake.

Bailey's Place was an amazing experience from start to finish. The space was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and so inviting. It felt comfortable the moment we walked in. The host was absolutely amazing, friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. Their hospitality truly stood out and made the experience even better. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Bailey's Place to anyone looking for a welcoming and relaxing place to stay!

Such a great stay! Cabin was beautiful and clean. Host was pet-friendly and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need for cooking. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second stay at Baileys Place and we really enjoyed ourselves. The house is very well set up and very close to skiing. We are already hoping to return!

Excellent cabin - clean, well stocked, spacious. Very comfortable for our family. Great location for Donner Summit area ski resorts. Management quick to respond, although we didn't need them during the stay - very clear instructions throughout the home. All the bedrooms are on the third level. We'll stay again, thanks!

The cabin is beautiful and very well cared for. Don't hesitate to book this three story beauty. Right near a rushing and located in a very friendly neighborhood (everyone waved to us!). The kitchen had everything we needed. Truly a wonderful property with communicative owners.

Great property with lots of space, as advertised. Certain parts are updated and look even better in real life than the pictures. The only thing that my family was concerned about was that we found rat poison packets in each of the bedroom closets, which the children got into before the adults found them. We didn’t get a chance to communicate with the owners by the time we found the packets. Everything else was wonderful.

Beautiful Cabin

We had a wonderful stay in the snow. This place has everything you will need. 7 of us were very comfy and there was an entire room to spare downstairs.

Cozy getaway spot

Location was perfect for a little quick getaway. Close to skiing. Beautiful views. Perfect yard area for playing in the snow. Loved the downstairs living room. Would love to come back here again.

Perfect spot!

We loved our stay over 4th of July! The creek behind the house was perfect for lounging in the sun and taking a cold dip, the house was well-appointed and comfortable, and we really enjoyed the grill and deck. The deck railing is a bit unsteady and could use some repairs - we made sure not to lean on it during our stay.

Snowed in

We spent a few days thru a blizzard at Bailey’s Places. It’s cozy and comfy and well appointed. Definitely feels more like a family house than generic vacation rental. The kingvale community is calm and quiet, easy transportation-wise.

Phil - owner: Resides in Walnut Creek, CA. and is a native Californian. I started coming to the sierra's as a young teen ager going on camping/fishing trips with my neighbors. Their son and I a still friends today except we are not exploring like we did a skids.
I invested in Bailey's Place to enjoy time with my family and for them to have a place to go to. The eldest daughter is estill skiing and loves Soda Springs slopes.

After owning a condo in Truckee’s Tahoe Donner neighborhood, I wanted more of the Sierra’s charm. Chose Pla Vada and Bailey’s Place for location, near skiing for the family, and summit history.
This area’s neighbors are friendly and often offering their help if needed.

Bailey’s Place is on a spacious lot having the seasonal Yuba river flowing along the rear of the property. The home is approximately 2000 feet with three floors. First floor has family room w/ a twin bed, TV, games, etc. Good place for the kids.
