Tucked among nearly 25 wooded acres along the river, our cabin offers something that's becoming harder to find—room to slow down, spread out and simply enjoy being together.

Start the morning with coffee on the deck while the rapids provide the soundtrack. Watch for deer wandering through the yard, listen to the birds, or let the kids head outside where there's actually room to PLAY.

And when you're ready for town? Warroad is only 2 miles away, right on Lake of the Woods.

THE RIVERFRONT

The river isn't just something you'll see from the property—it becomes part of your stay.

Bring your coffee to the deck and listen to the rapids. Read a book by the water, walk the dogs, watch for wildlife or simply sit and enjoy the view.

In warmer months, guests have cooled off in the river, caught frogs with the kids and taken the paddleboat out for a leisurely ride. There's also a designated area offering easier access to the river.

Winter brings an entirely different kind of beauty. Walk or ski the property, venture onto the river when conditions allow, or enjoy pond hockey on the river or oxbows.

Because this is a natural riverfront property, children and pets should always be supervised near the water.

ROOM TO PLAY—OR DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

One of the things our guests love most isn't inside the cabin. It's the SPACE outside it.

The huge yard gives families and groups room for badminton, croquet and outdoor games—or invent your own. Then venture across our 110-foot walking bridge to the other side of the property, where you'll discover a tucked-away cement court with a basketball hoop waiting among the woods.

And don't forget your camera! The river, woods and grounds here have even been chosen as the backdrop for professional wedding-party and graduation photos.

Explore nearly 25 acres, walk the quiet country road, watch the fireflies come out, or gather around the fire pit at the end of the day.

Firewood is provided, so bring the marshmallows!

Want an extra dose of outdoor adventure? Tenting is allowed on the grounds.

And because this is Northern Minnesota, we fog the property during the warmer months to help keep mosquitoes under control.

We don't believe bringing your four-legged family members should add another fee to your vacation. Dogs have nearly 25 wooded acres of new smells to investigate, quiet roads for walks and plenty of outdoor time with their people.

Please supervise pets outdoors because of the river, elevated deck and natural surroundings.

Coming north to fish? You'll be in good company.

Wenzel's Woods has welcomed both open-water and ice-fishing groups, along with hockey families, hunters, ATV riders, wedding guests, extended families and friends simply looking for time away together.

Spend the day adventuring in Northern Minnesota, then come home to a warm cabin, make dinner, put your feet up and finish the evening around the fire.

Winter snow can make maneuvering several large trucks or boat trailers more challenging. We'll be happy to help your group plan the best parking arrangement for your stay.

COME INSIDE

The outdoors may be the star, but we want coming inside to feel pretty wonderful too.

The warm cedar interior and nature-inspired décor give the home an authentic Northern Minnesota cabin feel. The open kitchen, dining and living areas make it easy for generations to be together without everyone feeling crowded.

The living and dining area has comfortable seating for gathering, visiting, playing games and watching movies. The dining table seats 8, with additional seating and dining for 4 in the connected kitchen.

The fully equipped kitchen makes preparing family meals easy and includes a double-oven range. And here's something you won't find everywhere: fresh artesian spring well water is piped right to a drinking-water faucet inside the home.

Books and games for children and adults are provided, along with a selection of movies for family movie nights.

8 BEDS—ROOM FOR EVERYONE TO SETTLE IN

Our sleeping arrangements work especially well for multigenerational families and groups traveling together:

• Upstairs Bedroom — Queen bed
• Downstairs Bunk Room — Sleeps 7
• Great Room — Queen sleeper sofa

There are two full bathrooms, and the spacious dressing room gives larger families plenty of room for clothing and personal belongings.

A washer and dryer are also available for guest use—especially handy after several days of fishing, outdoor adventures or traveling with children.

A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR THE GROWN-UPS, TOO

After fishing, hiking, golfing, skating or simply spending the day outdoors, slip into the private Jacuzzi tub and relax.

Sized for one—or cozy for two—you fill it with fresh, clean water for every use. Add your favorite bubble bath, turn on the jets and soak as long as you'd like. No shared hot-tub water here—just your own private soak whenever the mood strikes.

WHEN NORTHERN MINNESOTA GETS REALLY NORTHERN

Winter outside can reach the kind of temperatures Northern Minnesota is famous for—but inside, you'll be warm and cozy. Our wood-burning outdoor boiler keeps the cabin comfortably heated even through our bitter winter cold.

So come for ice fishing, hockey, snow-covered woods and frozen-river adventures. Then come home, kick off the boots and warm up.
