This is a great old hotel, lots of details like the art-deco elevator doors. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant/bar which is very active, also serving breakfast. The location at 48th and Lexington is very convenient to midtown attractions and to subway and bus lines.

Great stay

The hotel was very clean. All were very helpful from the doormen to the housekeeping. Will definitely recommend.

Great location. Room on the small size but i didnt spend a whole lot of time there. Perfect for what it is. Clean comfortable temperature and super comfy bed. I wpild stay here again no doubt. Gym had everything you would ever need from ypur current one.

Nice hotel, friendly staff — I'm glad I stayed here instead of one of the cookie-cutter locations closer to Penn Station/Times Square. The room was a comfortable size for NYC; however, the bed was very soft and lumpy — I woke up sore all three mornings during my stay.Advice: be diligent about using your 35/day food/beverage credit - it doesn't roll over!

Hotel right in the middle of Manhattan!

The hotel was just what we were looking for, and was clean with good amenities. However, I think there was an issue on the VRBO side, as they never put the name of the hotel or the address in the listing, or put it in the confirmation email. We had to guess at which one it was by zooming in on the map and call the actual hotel to make sure we had correctly booked with them.

Checking out

I paid dor the booking online through Vrbo. When it was time for me to check out i was told because i book my reservations feom a 3rd party i was charged an addtional $35 a day. I was never informed of this information when i check in.

Nice place bad guest!

Very nice hotel and the stay was great until 3:45 Sunday morning. We were awoken to fighting in the hall, which lasted for about 4 mins not great but not bad either right? Then again at 4:22 the fight was louder and more people were involved this time, I made contact with the front desk who informed me NYPD was on the way but the damage was done….. we were unable to fall back asleep which caused a ripple effect. My day has been pretty messy because of my lack of rest.
