Why not come and stay at a path less traveled? Relax, unplug, and unwind at this secluded mountain retreat that opens up to all the natural state has to offer. Located half way between Dardanelle and Danville, sitting on top of Spring Mountain.

Enjoy the many outdoor activities Arkansas has to offer like hiking, biking or simply the peace and quiet.

Ozark National Forest is just a stone’s throw away (2.25 miles). There are endless possibilities to explore it's 108,976.01 acres.

Or, if your style is to wind down, Spring Lake is the perfect place to cool off and take a dip or pack a pinic and enjoy the views.

For those who like golfing, Chamberlyne Golf Course has a 18 hole championship style layout which is just a 10 min drive.

Maybe you just want to get lunch after looking for the perfect souvenir. Antique shops are all around.

Additionally, The Arkansas River Valley has many Mountains to take advantage of like Nebo, Magazine or Petit Jean, Whatever your preference the Natural State has something to offer.

This new construction property sits on top of Chickalah Mountain looking off into Harkey Valley as it gradually rises and turns into Spring Mountain. This creates stunning panoramic views.

The decor will make you feel relaxed and at ease. This clever property boasts 2 downstairs bedrooms plus a large open loft which will sleep an additional six. This cabin showcases a vaulted, open floor plan and massive windows allow you to enjoy the panoramic views from all the common areas. A large covered patio is a great place to enjoy the scenery while drinking your morning coffee or stargazing at night.

This property sleeps 10. The main bedroom offers a king size bed. The second bedroom offers a queen bed. The loft has ample room to stretch out with an additional 2 queen beds and 2 twin beds. The bathroom includes an oversized no lip shower. There is a full functioning kitchen and laundry. Enjoy the evening by grilling at this park style charcoal BBQ grill and dinning under the attached pavilion.

A large smart TV sits a top a rustic fireplace in the living room. Additionally, the downstairs bedrooms have Wi-Fi capable TV’s. Internet is provided but can be interment.

Great place to relax and unwind. Beautiful views with lots of seating and everything you need to spend quality time with the family. Even with one bathroom the water heater was able to accommodate our party of 7 taking showers every night after hiking. The house and property is so cute you may not leave!

Breathtaking views of the Valley!

A wonderful property for our weekend getaway to the National Forests of Arkansas. Wonderful things to see within driving distance in all directions and beautiful trees on site. Beds very comfortable and everything you could need!

Gorgeous property, gorgeous view

The property was spectacular, both in accommodations and the breathtaking view. The property manager was always available and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely go back. It was quiet and peaceful. Lots of room to roam outdoors.

Very nice house with beautiful view

Very nice house on a secluded property with a beautiful view. The house had everything you would need to cook full meals. Would definitely stay there again. The house is exactly as pictured or maybe even nicer and the view can’t be captured in a photo enough to show how good it is.

Absolutely Beautiful!!

The property was amazing! The views were incredible. The house was very beautifully decorated and well stocked with anything we could have needed. The host was so nice and very easy to work with. Gem on Chickalah Mountain

The house is phenomenal, and the views...spectacular. My sister and I came to the mountain to visit places that were part of our childhood growing up. The house was close to the family farm where my great grandparents lived. We will be back to stay at this house for sure!

Beautiful

Everything about this site is beautiful. The home is wonderful, and is situated to have an amazing porch with just a fantastic and serene view.As a generational cattle family ourselves, we appreciated the rustic and western decor and feel.The hosts have taken great care to offer plenty of extras and amenities. The site is off the beaten path, but the path its on is one well worth the trip.

Immaculate & Beautiful

This was by far the best stay EVER! The house spelled sooo clean when we walked in and it had everything we needed. We enjoyed all the mountains, Mt Nebo, Magazine Mt, and Petit Jean. The host was more than accommodating. I want to keep this jewel a secret for myself, but it’s too good not to share. We hope to be back soon.

Chickalah Mtn Retreat

Came to the area to play in a golf tournament and was looking for a place to stay when I found this spot. It was more than I wanted to pay, but definitely worth it. The house is absolutely wonderful. The owners were very friendly and had perfect directions on how to get to the place. All the houses/farms were neatly kept so it made you feel safe. Perfect spot, perfect hosts! I'll definitely be back next year!

Absolutely Beautiful!!

Maridee's home is absolutely gorgeous! Everything about this place is perfect, upon arrival you are taken in by the views. Then by how this home has been furnished and decorated, but what is most impressive is when you wake up in the morning, step outside with your coffee and it is a serene experience. There is literally almost no sounds other than you and nature. Truly beautiful!

We had such a wonderful stay! The home was spotless and very well stocked with everything that we need. We enjoyed the stunning views from the porch. The pictures just don't do it justice, you have to see it yourself. The hostess was wonderful in her communication and she was very accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this home if you are looking for a tranquil getaway. Also, we went hiking at Petit Jean State Park, about 40 minutes away. It was gorgeous!

Central among Arkansas' Highest Peaks

Our Texas family really enjoyed this well-built cabin and area or Arkansas. In a well equipped kitchen, we had full family meals several times a day. We enjoyed midday Jeep trails at Mt. Magazine, swimming at Mt. Nebo's pool and twice at Spring Lake just right down the road, hiking at Petit Jean's Mathers Lodge, and antique shopping in Russellville. The sunrises and sunsets were uniquely beautiful. Harkey Valley even surprised us with July 4th fireworks show. It's remote, yet easily accessible. It's a peaceful place with quality furniture, comfortable beds, and an overall good value. By owner, not corporate.

Peace, Tranquility & Happiness

We had an amazing weekend at this home after our son's ATU graduation. The house had everything we needed and more, with thoughtful touches like fresh fruit and snacks. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The spacious and beautifully decorated house provided the perfect setting for our family celebration. From the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy bedrooms, every detail was carefully considered. The amenities surpassed our expectations, including a well stocked kitchen, comfortable living area, and views that are more beautiful than a painting. The location was ideal, close to the ATU campus and nearby attractions. Overall, it was an exceptional experience, and we highly recommend this home away from home.
