Perfect location

Property upkeep and maintenance was poor. Several issues inside the home with shoddy, unsafe bunkbeds (which I was assured this issue, I read about in a previous review, was fixed), broken blinds making lack of privacy, window screens that were destroyed and television remotes without batteries, backs or with correct TVs. The price for so called "luxury rental", cleanliness and general upkeep was poor. The location a great. This place has great potential if property issues are corrected.

Great Location - Poor maintenance

Janine B's review on 5/30/18 is spot on. Based on "owners response" to the comments we believed items would have been corrected. For the price paid to stay these items should be fixed ASAP. $1,000 and a day of work would go a long way. Appears owner doesn't really care, just wants to collect rents. Dirty kitchen, duct tape holding bunk beds together, king bed sitting on bricks, drapes torn completely off, blinds filthy and damaged. Beds harder than rocks, like sleeping on tile floor. Screens had big holes, could not open windows to hear waves at night, master bathroom lights wouldn't work - had to take showers in the dark, bedroom door knob to patio could not be turned to open (called day of arrival and not fixed entire week). Trash tossed around property which needs picked up. Light in bedroom closet hanging from ceiling waiting to smack you in the face once you open door. Maintenance issues are endless...Online pictures provided are not reality except for distance to beach. Great location but next time I think I would walk further to the beach to avoid this property.

VRBO site picture is not the same as what you see when you get to the house. Location is great! but the Windy C house is dirty, poorly maintained, needs updating and smell like fish inside the house. we pay for cleaning fee but it was so dirty, we have to buy our own cleaning supplies and clean the house ourselves. We have to laundry the blankets that was in all the closet because it smell like it was not wash for a long time. All the kitchen cover are so dirty we have to clean it to. Mop the floor, bathroom, vacuum. Blinds on the first floor room is broken, second floor bathroom not flushing at all, some bathroom doors is hard to lock or cannot even lock. The area near the outside shower area was full of broken umbrella, chair, old broken boogie board, some garbage's, no one has clean it. No hand towel in the bathroom and kitchen pots and pan are old and dirty, no cutting board, knife cannot even cut, missing s lot of kitchen basic necessities. The only thing about this place is the location to the beach it is great.And the view from the balcony is great.

Very disappointed

This was not a “luxury” rental. Having to go buy cleaning equipment to scrub bathrooms and floors before we use them is not a “luxury” vacation!!!!!! Dirty cupboards in the kitchen, couldn’t use one of the coffee makers, as it was all rusty. There was duct tape holding bunk beds together. One of the beds was sitting on a “brick” to keep it off the floor. Drapes torn off completely. Blinds filthy. Patio furniture was so old and rusted you didn’t want to sit on it. The list of negatives is endless!!!!!! The only positive was the location...... If we hadn’t been travelling for three days to get there, we wouldn’t have stayed. Will not be back!!!!!

It was the perfect place to fill my needs.

Each year as a Christmas present to my family I take my four children, their spouses and my seven grandchildren away for several days. Although we live in Carolina Beach it is always a treat to spend time together without any distractions. Elliot Beach Rentals provided us with the perfect accommodations. This was our third year and the best one yet. I hope to be able to continue to make more memories as long as possible.
