We rented this house for 3 nights for a quick spring break get-away with our 4 teens/almost teens. We didn't need to leave the property once, except for a very quick grocery shopping trip and some walks around the neighborhood. Between the tennis court, hot tub, pool table and lake, we were well occupied. The fishing was great - my kids caught fish every third time they cast their rods. We loved using the kayaks and row boat. We saw lots of turtles, osprey, swans, a beaver....
It's not very quiet outside. There's an airport nearby - we only saw small planes, no big jets - and a train that runs on the other side of the lake a couple of times per day, which we thought was cool.
The main room was very warm with the sun coming in, we didn't really need the fireplaces.
The kitchen is well stocked, but if you want good knives or a working can opener - bring your own. We had some issues with the grill. The owner responded to my text right away and helped us troubleshoot. We got it working well enough, but it wasn't easy.
The outside of the property seems a little tired. Chipped paint on the deck, mildew on the awning, corner of the dock seems to be rotting - that kind of thing. None of that bothered us at all. It could be that we're just coming out of winter and things haven't gotten spruced up yet.
Overall, we loved the place. We would come back again in a heartbeat.
