Room was dirty. Couch very stained, floor not vacuumed, stains on bedding. Breakfast was bad. Hot food was not hot. Milk and juices sitting out room temperature. All staff was friendly and accommodating!

Perfect for two

It was perfect for two people and it had everything we needed. Front desk staffs were friendly as well. Only thing was it needs good carpet cleaning. There were so many stains that we were hesitant to walk barefoot.

My only complaint is the door to the unit did not feel very secure. The security device needed to be screwed in better and the deadbolt really didn’t work on the door. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable. Loved the pillows. Took me a while to find the dishes and silverware, which are located in the dishwasher, which is fine, but that should be explained to check in. Breakfast very marginal and the room too tiny for all of the guests.

Our eventual room was fine. The management company was horrible! We ended up in the ER some miles from our eventual destination and knowing we would not be able to make Chesterfield, I called to let them know that we would arrive the next day. When we got there we were noted to be a ‘no show’ and the room I’d booked and paid for (non-refundable) a four day stay was booked with no other room available. Eventually we did get a room at twice the price, but we have now paid twice for the same accommodation. The management company never informed the hotel that we had an emergency. I have called the management company about this and have never received a call back. I’d be very leery about booking anything again managed by this company.

Great place, terrible communication

Let me first say that the room was great - very spacious and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. And the onsite staff was very friendly and helpful! We were very happy with our stay at the Sonesta Suites! However, I did not have a good experience communicating with the third-party company that is involved in booking a hotel room for VRBO - RoomPicks, I believe. I wanted to add another night to our stay and I was within the time frame for modifying my reservation, but I was not able to reach anyone. They provided an email address, but it took days to get a response that didn't resolve the issue, and they provided a phone number but the person I spoke to was unable to answer any questions or help. We were never able to reach anyone who could assist us, which was frustrating! I would recommend the Sonesta Suites, but when booking a hotel room through VRBO, via RoomPicks, just be aware that communication with the "host" prior to arrival may not be possible.

Your house rules for the pet policy was not clear. Upon arrival, the location had forms which stated two dogs max, and while you were away from the room dogs much be crated. You should include this in your VRBO listing because it is not in the pet policy through your website.Once we arrived, the hotel suites charged me for my rooms, even though I had already paid VRBO due to the house “room picks - comfort stays” on Feb 26. We had tried to get in contact with the manager several times, showing up in the morning like the desk clerk had told us, and she was not there. We sent an email which she never responded to, but went ahead and took away the extra pending charge for our rooms (which again, we had already paid for!).Upon arrival to the room there was bo dishware anywhere, not until I checked the dishwasher to find all of the dishes in there.Outside of our ground level room was trash, ripped up pieces of bread, over 30 cigarette butts (yes I counted because I picked them up and threw them away), and at least 10 old piles of dog poop- right outside our front and patio door. Our last night there, a sudden smell and weed was coming in through the air- it was so strong you could taste it- it was disgusting.Very disappointed with this location, also with it being our first experience using VRBO. We will not be using again. There seemed to be no communication between VRBO and the host and the actual location itself.
