Place was amazing

House was super clean and the owner is amazing. The river was a perfect place to fish and relax. Maybe 15 minutes to GNP. You can't go wrong staying here. My family loved it!

Very nice place. Beautiful location. Only issue is the road surface getting to the home. Rains must have created some rough driving areas. Owner has contracted a company to fill in the holes. Should be ok going forward.

River front fantastic

This house is appointed like a boutique hotel. Comfort, decor and amenities are superb. The back covered porch is literally on the river bank! Met the hosts and they are wonderful, friendly and take great pride and care of this home. Appreciate the attention to detail and would absolutely recommend this home.

Hungry Horse River House

Six of us came and stayed three nights. Everything was perfect. The house was stocked as if we lived there with coffee and paper towels and spices and even bear spray for hiking in Glacier. It was clean, plenty of linens. I wish we would have stayed longer than three nights and next time we’ll take come when it’s warm and take advantage of the river and the fishing poles and the fire ring and the gas grill and, and , and. Not a negative thing to say. Showers were great with instant hot water. Two sets of washer-dryers. Complete kitchen. Close enough to Glacier. Loved it!

River house

Our group of 8 loved our stay at the River house. The location cannot be beat. It’s near the park, restaurants, grocery store and right off the river! We enjoyed using the cold river to ice ourselves after a long day. The views from the house are amazing. We were able to see a little bit of the Northern lights from the porch on our last night. The house is well equipped. There were some walking poles, bear spray, fishing poles, first aid kits, bug spray, etc. Having two sets of washer dryers was nice. The cabin is older, but clean and in good condition. We really appreciated the huckleberry basket. Would definitely recommend.

Most amazing stay

The cabin was amazing. From location (right on the beautiful river) to the homey feel. We even saw a black bear on the other side of the river! We were able to catch some trout at the bottom of the stairs as well. We had 6 adults and were able to sit around both inside and outside comfortably. We were situated pretty close to the entrance to Glacier, but not too far away from restaurants and grocery stores. A very comfortable stay!

Incredible Views!

We had a great stay in this cabin. There was room for us to spread out and/or sit together when wanted. The stairs to the river were a hit with everyone. We also loved having two washers & dryers and the 2 1/2 baths. The views and sound of the river can’t be beat. The gift basket with the Huckleberry treats were greatly enjoyed. We made a few stops at that store for additional huckleberry and fudge treats. We enjoyed eating on the back porch and taking in all the sights and sounds. We hope to visit there again.

Beautiful River view

We love this cozy cabin and the beautiful scenery overlooking the river. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and fishing. It was a perfect getaway for our family.

This property was amazing and close to everything we wanted to do while in Montana. The view was spectacular. Our family enjoyed it and had a great time!

Great home

Lovely house with an awesome view and great proximity to GNP. Everything was great. Check in and check out was super easy, no problems. Lots of extras including well stocked kitchen and soaps and linens, bear spray, fishing poles, hiking poles. Would love to stay here again.

Beautiful view of river. Host provided local stores and phone numbers. Owner attentive and helpful. Could use some nicer indoor furniture, but over a wonderful quiet lovely home.

Hungry Horse wins the Trifecta

Incredible property overlooking Flathead River and rapids. Spacious living room, bedrooms, fully equipped basement complete with a pool table made for an amazing stay. Perfectly situated for a short drive to Glacier National Park! Would definitely stay here again!

Breathtaking Views of the River!

We enjoyed our stay! Comfortable beds and all of the amenities you need. Kitchen well stocked. Close to Glacier. To get to the river is not easy. Lots of steps and a rope but overall we would stay here again.

Absolutely Stunning

The location was great if you in enjoy solitude, and just a short trip to the west entrance of GNP. Breathtaking views of the river from the deck and so many helpful items for travelers (including hiking poles, fishing items, and bear spray- thank you!! FYI wonderful place, and getting to the river is challenging but also fun and exciting— so not appropriate for some younger children— Hosts were kind and let us have an early check in after a day of driving— very much appreciated.

A beautiful cabin in the woods

The house was clean, well-kept and has an amazing view of the river. The main bedroom and bathroom are on the main floor, a second bedroom and bathroom in the loft and more sleeping options and another bathroom in the basement. Very spacious interior, well-furnished. Be advised that the last part of the road to the cabin is narrow with several switchbacks, and there are stairs to get from the vehicle parking to the cabin.

Easy access to Glacier National Park

We really enjoyed our time at this home. Beautiful river view and great access to GNP. Downstairs was musty but air humidifier helped which we ran the entire week. The house was comfortable for three couples. Kitchen is tight for more than one person to be working. We ate most of our meals at the house and cooked fresh caught trout on the grill. This is. Or a fancy place but comfortable and great access to the park which is what we were going for with this rental.

Wonderful house is great location

Our family of five and my mother just returned from this rental and it was amazing! We spent a week exploring Glacier Park and the surrounding area. Each time we’d pass another rental or hotel we’d say we were so glad we had The River House. The location on the river was spectacular! It was 10 minutes to the Glacier Park entrance and not even a mile to several restaurants. You’d never know you were that close to everything because the home is tucked away in a private wooded area. The home was very clean, well organized and comfortable. It was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The beds were comfortable and the views were amazing. The homeowner was very nice and explained everything we needed to know. The temps outside were especially warm while we were there so we took advantage of swimming in the river more than once. The stairs down to the river are steep but well built and pretty easy to maneuver. However, last 1/4 of the way down does not include stairs so it can get tricky on the rocks. The descent is not suitable for small children or those with bad knees or balance issues. However, we managed just fine with a walking stick. The water is crystal clear. We swam and my husband went fly fishing. We felt special because no other home had a way down to the river like that. 😁 I have already recommended this home to several family friends because we enjoyed it so much. I would absolutely rent it again!

Nice location. Beautiful view. Cleanliness of place very lacking.

The location to Glacier National park is amazing about 10 min drive. The view of the river is beautiful. There were canoes or kayaks to use on the river, although we didn’t use them. There was bear spray available for use - we carried it each day. That was a nice addition. A nice BBQ grill. A propane heater unit on the deck was nice for the cool evenings. The cabin has great potential. The bed was comfortable and firm! The appliances were clean and well cared for. Use of the washer and dryer were helpful. The overall cleanliness of the place was very poor. The floor was extremely dirty with sticky places under the table. The end tables, lamps etc were very dusty. Cobwebs and dust on the light fixtures Dead spiders in the upper windows. The table was sticky - couldn’t ever get it clean. Crumbs under the table placemats. Crumbs in the silverware holder. New fly tape stored with the utensils. A 1 inch gap between the wood flooring and the kitchen tile with crumbs in the crack. We spent several hours wiping things down and sanitizing. Even though the view was beautiful, the lack of cleanliness will stop us from returning here again. Needs more attention to details.

We were there in early Oct for my son’s wedding in Glacier park, a short drive away. I love how the house was stocked with EVERYTHING we need. There was coffee with a pot and filters. Plenty of spices and cooking stuff. Canz of bear spray to hike with . Next time we’ll come in the summer anc play more in the river and maybe have a campfire and cook out. This is a nice place, close to the park and Columbi Falls ( good restaurants). The six of us are unanimous in giving 5 stars
