Private Modern Cabin with Hot Tub, Cozy Heated Floors and Outdoor Fireplace.
Perched atop its own secluded mountaintop, the "Steel Nest" blends industrial design with pure serenity. Escape from the everyday, where modern comfort meets the stillness of nature.
Unwind in the outdoor hot tub under a canopy of stars. Cozy up inside at the Morso wood stove with the warmth of radiant heated floors at your feet. No neighbors in sight—just 10+ acres of private, wooded paradise.
Follow the long, winding driveway to this hidden sanctuary where peace and relaxation await. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a solo recharge, the Steel Nest is your perfect hideaway. Follow the stone pathway to your cozy, design-forward cabin, where industrial charm meets mountain tranquility. With no neighbors in sight, you’ll feel immersed in nature while enjoying all the comforts of a thoughtfully designed home.
- No neighbors in sight, just peaceful forest views
- Outdoor fireplace, screened porch, propane grill for a cozy retreat
- Fast Starlink WiFi, perfect for remote work or enjoy a digital detox
- Hot tub & seasonal outdoor shower (typically not in use Nov - March) for the ultimate relaxation
- Radiant floor heat throughout – no chilly feet here!
**Inside the Cabin
The open-concept main level features:
- Full kitchen, stocked with all the essentials, from cookware to coffee makers (Keurig & drip) and basic pantry staples.
- Live-edge dining table with seating for four, perfect for meals or game nights.
- A cozy living area with a leather sofa and walls of windows framing the serene landscape.
- Half bath leading to a seasonal outdoor shower, offering a refreshing way to connect with nature.
- Propane grill just outside for effortless outdoor cooking.
Upstairs, the two-bedroom layout offers a peaceful retreat:
- Primary suite: A king-size bed with hotel-quality linens, high wood-beamed ceilings, walls of windows, a sitting area, and a Roku TV (the only TV in the cabin).
- Second bedroom: A queen-size bed with hotel-quality linens and natural light.
- Full bathroom with heated tile floors, dual sinks, and a walk-in rainfall shower stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
- Linens, towels, paper products, and basic supplies provided – we stock enough for a long weekend.
**Things to Know Before You Book
- No window coverings in the cabin – wake up with natural light and fall asleep under the stars.
- The hot tub is drained between stays, so it may take until evening to fully reheat.
- No A/C – the cool mountain air keeps things comfortable, but summer afternoons can get warm.
- Rural location – expect a 30-35 minute drive to town for supplies, restaurants, and hiking trails.
- No TV in the main living area—just the one in the primary bedroom.
- Bring your own firewood if you wish to use the indoor Morso wood stove or the outdoor fireplace.
- Sound carries between floors—great for cozy conversations, but keep in mind for groups.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, design-forward retreat surrounded by nature, The Steel Nest is calling.
*** Winter in the mountains can bring snow and ice. Please ensure you have a vehicle that can handle these road conditions when booking during cooler months. Many people head to the area to experience these conditions so unfortunately we cannot offer a refund due to weather.
Hot tub use is at your own risk. Guests must follow safety guidelines, including no unattended children, no glass containers, and no use while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
To re-iterate some of the details you should know to make sure the cabin is a good fit:
- There is no TV in the living area/downstairs.
- There are no window coverings.
- We drain the hot tub between stays so it may take until the evening of your first night for the temperature to return to it's normal ~102 degree range.
- The location is very rural.
- There is no air conditioning in the cabin.
