I stayed here for two months in January/February 2019 to escape the northeast winter.
The house, with a large 2 car garage, is located in a newer development in Katy, very close to Rte 99.
It has a lovely breakfast nook and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need for cooking: pots, appliances, dishes, glassware, etc.
The dining room can accommodate 6 comfortably, and the living room is large with a couch and 2 chairs and a large tv with lots of channels.
The master bedroom is large with its own en suite bathroom and walking closet, as well as its own tv. There are two other bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a twin, and also with walk in closets. The second bath is nicely appointed and there is a full laundry room adjacent to it. There's a desk in the smaller bedroom where you can conduct business if need be.
The backyard is small but fenced in.
There is a wonderful park nearby with a playground for the kids and a wonderful paved walking path around man-made lakes and ducks galore.
The development itself has a small playground as well as a pool, which I did not get to enjoy as it was winter.
Zubair, the property manager, could not have been more accommodating and responded quickly to whatever need I may have had.
This location is close enough to Rte 10 and from there it's a straight shot to downtown Houston, albeit with traffic. It's not close to downtown but it's easily doable. There's a Kroger, WallMart, fast food places and some smaller restaurants in a mall nearby and less than 5 miles away are some really great restaurants in Katy. There are also movie theaters nearby as well.
This is a residential neighborhood so you do have to drive to get anywhere, but the neighborhood is quiet and, as a single woman of a "certain age", I felt very safe and comfortable.
