This 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin on a large lake lot is 8 miles NW. of Ortonville on the Minnesota side of Big Stone Lake, (Big Stone is well known as a premiere perch and walleye lake.) This property features accessible lakeshore to pull a boat up, and a 36' long dock to tie up your boat or pontoon. Great spot for family, friends, or travel enthusiasts to enjoy a fishing trip. Or maybe your preference is fun and fellowship, playing horseshoes and yard games, while simultaneously taking in the panoramic lake views, as you watch birds and wildlife going up and down the lake!
This property has a large yard to enjoy outdoor games of all sorts. Plenty of room for parking and lots of room for your boat trailer too.
Using the LP grill to sear some fresh fish out on the deck for lunch is a treat, and if that rainy day arrives, you can retreat to the lakeside gazebo and break out the card games.
There are 3 restaurants on Big Stone Lake that all serve dinner that you can boat to after a day on the lake also.
Nighttime enjoy a crackling fire and beverage while stargazing or taking in moon reflections on the water.
For the hiker in the family, check out nearly 3.5 miles of paths meandering through prairie country at Big Stone state park, which is just a 1/2 mile away.

For you remote workers, high speed internet will make work a breeze!

This place was great for old people that like to fish. The dock was in good condition, close to the house, only 4 steps from land to the dock and on a level lot. The house is nice and the interior is very comfortable

This place is so nice! Perfect for us (a couple in our 60s). Super clean, comfy and cozy home with a spectacular lot and view/access to the lake. Very quiet, great location, very peaceful and serene, with the town and supper club close by. We absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend it. The host was great with communication and attentiveness. Highly recommend this property!

The host was very easy to communicate with and very reasonable. Although the outside looks a little rough (as stated by the owner), it's not a problem. It is very comfortable inside. It was very clean. The Kitchen was well stocked. the fact there is no dishwasher wasn't a problem.It has a beautiful lake view!

Very relaxing

We brought our boat and enjoyed going out on the lake each day. It’s a beautiful location and the house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would stay there again!

Perfect Getaway

House was perfect size for our long weekend getaway of fishing and relaxation. Had everything we needed and John was very proactive in communication and checked to make sure we had what we needed.

Loved our stay! Nice and cozy! It was very relaxing and quiet! We played bags and horseshoes! My favorite part were our fires right next to the lake! John was very accommodating and his communication was excellent! I highly recommend staying here!

Great Family Vacation Cabin

This was a great cabin for the kids and I to stay at. Super clean and very comfortable. The lake was great and so was the fishing. Property owner, John, was very friendly and kept up with great communication. Will definitely stay again if it works

Nice weekend getaway

Property was exactly as described. The gazebo was great for family game night. Beds were comfy and wifi was a plus for the kids when they were not fishing. Plenty of yard for outdoor games. Fireput by the water was a nice touch, would stay here again

Wonderful Quiet Home

Exceptionally clean, quiet home on the lake. Caught many fish off the dock, only a short drive to the boat ramp. Home was comfortable with all amenities available. Owner was very friendly and ensured all needs were met. Perfect for a couple or small group.
