Completely renovated cozy modern home on a rustic piece of riverfront property with views! Plenty of parking and room to enjoy the outdoors. Fire pit, Adirondack chairs and picnic table to relax by the river. Hiking path down to the water (access river at your own risk). Only a quarter mile to paved public boat launch. Desirable fishing location for small mouth bass. This lovely home is conveniently located within driving distance to downtown Knoxville (18 min), Neyland Stadium/University of Tenn (22 min), Bass Pro Shops (16min), Pigeon Forge (45 min), Great Smoky Mountains (1hour). This riverside cottage home creates a perfect setting for family getaways or week-long vacations on the water. Covered front porch for entry and second side door to unload directly into the laundry/ kitchen. The main area boasts an open concept with vaulted ceilings and lots of natural light with an electric fireplace. Comfortable queen beds with all linens and towels provided. Private sitting area in the second bedroom. Large, fully stocked kitchen with full refrigerator and stove/ oven, filtered cold water, toaster oven/ air fryer, coffee maker and water kettle. Large laundry room with wash sink, washer and dryer (detergent provided), and space to store fishing and river sport equipment.
Bring your boat or water sports craft with plenty of space to park a trailer and explore the river! Large outdoor space to enjoy the view or gather with family for a fireside evening.

I (and those in my visiting group) recognize danger in activities related to the river/ property and assume full responsibility for any injury.

Enjoyed our stay at Riverside Retreat! Everything was very clean and comfortable. River views were beautiful! The host was great and quick to respond! We were in town for our son’s college bass championship on Cherokee Lake and this house was a great place to stay for that! Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful riverside cottage

This house has a unique hillside view of a river and historic bridge. Inside is comfortable and clean. Note: upstairs loft is best suited for older children/teens) and is warmer than the rest of the house (at least in the summer heat). It worked perfectly for our family. I wish we’d had more time during our stay to just sit on the hill and enjoy the river!

It was a little out of the way from downtown Knoxville but the drive was easy and the house and setting made it worth the drive back and forth. The road noise from the bridge was louder than i had expected, but we soon got used to it. Overall, a beautiful property and very friendly hosts!

We loved the Riverside Retreat!

The Riverside Retreat is located on the Holston River. We brought our kayaks and enjoyed paddling. Everything was clean, new and nice with great attention to detail. We had everything we needed. The galley kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. I appreciated the Electric kettle. My 16 month granddaughter could crawl and play safely inside. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening with the view of the river. It is located close to many tourist attractions yet it felt secluded, safe and private The host was great about communicating with us. She answered questions and checked to see if we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this Vrbo.

Perfect Peaceful Space near the city

We were in town for a few short days for a basketball tournament. This place offered an absolutely perfect location, a short drive (about 15 minutes) to downtown Knoxville. I highly recommend this house to anyone visiting the city and wanting to stay out of the hustle and bustle. We thoroughly enjoyed the outside sitting area/firepit area that overlooked the river. There was plenty of wood for fires. The short walk down the hill to the river afforded an awesome place for the kids to play in a very large shallow area of the river, and the older son an area to catch some smallmouth bass. The house itself was amazing, very clean, and well-stocked with about anything you need. It is up-to-date with very modern technology! We had one little hiccup when checking in that was instantly remedied by the host. Three minor inconveniences: 1) the house sits close to a fairly busy road that seems to be heavily travelled by large trucks, it got a little noisy early morning. 2) There is only one television in the house which was inconvenient when the kiddos wanted to hook up their gaming system and I wanted to watch the hockey playoffs. I won that battle but both could have won had we had a second television. And 3) there was no outside grill. This was more of a personal inconvenience for me as we typically grill all our meals. Would have liked to have had a grill. Overall, I can’t speak highly enough about this property. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
