Lovely home, beautiful location, plenty of space for our family and friend weekend adventure near Lake Placid. Extras made the stay even better, things like: sauna, firewood, kitchen essentials, pool table, arcade games, etc.

The home was everything we expected! Beautiful location with amazing views. Luxurious home that was big enough for all 12 of us with the apartment. Our Host was very attentive.

Enjoyed our stay. Easy access on arrival. Beautiful property with great view of White Face Mt. We did have a hard time with gas grill. Ignition button did not work but we got by. Would definitely recommend.

The house was beautiful. Communication with host was great. We had issues with hot water supply. The owner did respond quickly but we still did not have enough hot water for 3 adults to shower in the morning. Also, like most homes in the area it seems, they have room or window air conditioning. We did have higher temperatures but the two units in the house could not keep it cool and the constant hum was a little annoying. Be sure to understand the separate apartment does have an additional price. The location was great for us. The restaurant Up a Creek, that is in Wilmington, has good food and great service. Smoke Signals, in Lake Placid is also amazing.

Unfortunately, it was a lot more than three people attempting to shower at the same time. There were 12 guests staying at the house and it was clear that there was an expectation of endless hot water. This group also tried to operate so many kitchen appliances at once that they repeatedly tripped the circuit breaker on the stove. They also overused the ice maker in 95 degree heat and humidity and then complained it needed to be serviced. I left two bags of ice for them in the freezer prior to arrival as I knew it was a large group. Every day it seemed like it was a new issue. I should point out we have been hosting guests for years without one single complaint regarding lack of hot water, tripper circuit breakers or a malfunctioning ice machine. I’m not sure what to say about air conditioning…it’s clearly stated that we do not have central air. It was 95 degrees with 90% humidity during their stay. I’m sure other properties had challenges staying cool as well. It seems a motel would have been a much better choice for these guests.
