The apartment had a lovely view, and was overall perfectly fine. The only thing was that the pool closes early, at 18:00, and my 14 yr old was not aloud to swim without me present.

Great location, and steps to the beach! If you’re new to the area, avoid the beach directly in front of the apartment ( Hollywood Beach)…instead walk to the next beach…is a 2 minute walk and much quieter…..and cheaper. Apartment is nice…no AC on the living room/ kitchen but if you leave the bedroom doors open it is comfortable. AWESOME views of the ocean from front and back. Reception is very nice as well as the girl that cleans! I would book this unit again!

There was no a/c in any area except bedrooms.. so was extremely hot..bugs everywhere.. needed an exterminator for my luggage before leaving..

Both Wi-Fi and water pressure were weak

When we arrived to check-in an hour later, due to flight delay, we were greeted with the cleaning staff still cleaning! They were lovely but they did not finish until an hour later (you heard that right we got there late and they were still cleaning!) The Wi-Fi was very very limited, which, of course, disrupted our ability to communicate with the owner of the property. This created annoyance and discomfort. Due to the water temperature & pressure being unfavorable we rate this experience a 3 out of 5.

Spacious, clean, and close to the beach

Our group of 5 stayed at this condo for 5 days. Overall we felt it to be a good place to stay. The Condo: Beautiful and enough space for 5 easily. The beds are comfortable enough and the furniture is great. Comes equipped with web tv that is perfect for those times where it's raining. Unfortunately it rained hard one night and almost all windows leaked, the whole floor was soaked but it might be a freak occurence as it was raining very hard. Overall condo score 5/5 Facilities: I was honestly disappointed with the pool. It was under construction while we were there with equipment all over the place. Also there are no chairs to relax in, just some benches against the wall. Not sure if this is because of the construction. We spent most of the time at the beach anyway but there were times where we wanted to take a swim in the pool so I'm deducting a point from the total score.

You get what you pay for!

It has Continuous bad odor of sewer throughout apt. The smell would come out of the walls. The. toikets did not flush well, we had to continuously use large galloons of water to pour in toilet tank to flush. The Sink in master bedroom had bugs and bad odor come out of pipe. First day at apt water came out all dirty and smelled horrible. Only 1 bath towel was given to each of us to use for a 8 night stay. Bed only had 1 thin flat sheet to sleep, didn’t sleep well cause if I turned air conditioning it would be too cold and if I raised it or turned off it would be yoo hot. They left no cleaning liquids to clean bathroom and mop and wipe counters down. Living room Furniture has termites and every day we would find them all over their white floor. The view wasn’t spectacular because the beach waters are contaminated with petroleum and sewer from septic system that the coty drains. We were told at last minute a fee of $1.50 US a person. would be charged to wear bracelet during our stay, but was charged like $2.50 a person. I dont mind having paid it, but the inconsistency is what I did not appreciate. One of the tenants in building owned 2 wolf dogs that kept howling and kept us up 2 nights. When you walk to front of building you get hounded by natives to buy. And the smell in the air was horrific. I wore my face mask entire stay. Elevators were super slow. It’s definitely not at all how it looks in pictures illustrated. Not a place I would stay at, but one gets what they pay for. And I would not recommend it. I will say the security guarda were really nice. And the tourist office on site, especially Linda and Jaciel were phenomenal. After this experience I am mote hesitant in staying at an Vrbo. This was my 1st Vrbo experience and I didn’t like it,

Unbelievable views in 3 directions--24 stories high in one of the nicest districts in Cartagena.!

Clean, spacious, big enough kitchen etc. Nice swimming pool. Excellent staff. If would definitely stay here again.

Location couldn’t have been better. Short walk to store, restaurants and beach. Have stayed in El Laguito before and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Condo was perfect.

Terrible experience

Not at all like the listing, different property. Dirty, broken/dirty blinds, noisy ac units, dirty sinks, no hot water, terrible water pressure, terrible wifi. Dishes and cutlery always looked dirty, electronic equipment in terrible shape. Beds were hard and uncomfortable despite being listed as luxurious. Bathroom in master bedroom smelled bad constantly. Advised my contact and never heard from her again despite attempts to get answers. 3 days after I arrived someone called saying they were fixing the water pressure and hot water and they also came into the apartment. Had hot water that one day but went back to no hot water. The only other time I heard from the apartment contact was when I was leaving. She answered right away but during my attempts to get answers or to get things fixed she never responded. TERRIBLE APARTMENT, DIRTY, GROSS!!!

Clean, spacious but needs TLC

Clean, pool greatly appreciated, needs some upgrading, things are old and in need of upgrading really just like that area in Cartagena. Easy to get around, cabs always available, close to very good grocery stores and gems of great little restaurants close by.

My Stay

My check-in was smooth and uneventful compliments of Ismael. Ismael was an absolute gentleman. He always went out of his way to greet me when he saw me, and was very helpful whenever I had any questions. The apartment was very nice, clean, and I received it as described on VRBO. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. My bedroom had a balcony and beautiful view of the ocean and I was able to enjoy several beautiful sunsets. The living room also had a balcony. There were good views of the city and ocean throughout the apartment. The only issue I had with the apartment was that there was no A/C in the living room. If there was no ocean breeze blowing through the apartment the living would become very hot. Other than the A/C issue, the apartment was great. Landis, the apartment manager, was great. She was always pleasant and extremely helpful. If I needed extra towels or the apartment cleaned she handled it without a problem. She was a great go to person. Andreina and Yenis, the two lovely ladies that took care of the apartment, were outstanding. They did a great job, but most of all they were always smiling and were a pleasure to talk to. The aforementioned persons definitely made my stay much more enjoyable. My overall stay at this property was very good. Thank you-Muchas Gracias! Until the next time.

Needs updating

We stayed here in April for a week. While the location and neighbourhood was great, we were disappointed with the unit itself. While there is A/C in the bedrooms - there isn't any in the common area - and with a missing window pane in the kitchen - this led to a very steamy stay. The wi-fi conked out after day one - so we were given the password to the neighbouring unit - so access was a bit sketchy. There was definitely no "high quality bedding" or "extra large fluffy" towels!! The bedding and towels have seen better days and desperately need replacing. It would have been nice to have hand towels for the bathroom. The whole unit is in need of renovations and updating - the photos do not show the age of the unit and the wear and tear that needs attention.
