A Great Stay

House was perfect for what we needed, Roy was very nice and responsive and the house was the perfect location for our needs, clean and spacious. Would definitely stay there again!! Highly recommend.

Perfect for the Family!

We just returned home from a trip to Detroit to visit our son at a local university. For a change we decided to rent a home instead of a hotel room and Roy's house was perfect for our family! We only wish we had done this sooner....much more spacious, convenient and comfortable than a hotel room for six people! The house has been beautifully updated and you can see that Roy takes pride in ensuring his guest comfort with every finishing touch. The house was immaculately clean and ready upon our arrival and Roy came over to greet us soon after we settled in to show us everything. The kitchen has absolutely everything you need cook for yourselves, the bathrooms were super clean and stocked with basic necessities just in case you forgot something at home, and the bedrooms were nicely decorated and very welcoming...the memory foam pillow top beds were a huge hit with our family! Although there is an extra bed in the basement (single bed in a small unfinished room) our kids chose to use the queen beds upstairs, as well as the blow up mattress that Roy keeps in the linen closet. I don't think many people would opt to use that bedroom in the basement but it's nice to have just in case. What I will say about the basement is that the kids LOVED the foosball table down there and enjoyed some game time with it...only problem is that they want one for home now too! We also loved the fact that there were 3 TV's and wifi so everyone had options and space to spread out when they wanted. This is a great little house in a lovely neighbourhood....walking distance to stores and restaurnants and close drive to some great little towns, the Detroit Zoo, the downtown core and surrounding areas (great place for families to stay while visiting their kids at local Universities!). You can't go wrong with this rental....thanks Roy!

The loft bedroom made the stay!

Roy was terrific. He promptly addressed whatever needs I had. My husband loved the upstairs loft. The window in front of the desk made it easy for him to do his "projects."

Great House and Location!

The house is in a great neighborhood and very close to excellent restaurants. Plenty of space for a large family. We had a great time visiting Detroit!

Everything you need, and more

This was a second stay for our family. The home is so clean, the towels are amazing, kitchen is stocked, and it’s just all around comfortable. Thanks to a great host who clearly cares about his property and his guests comfort.

comfortable and very nice house

Our landlord was reliable and answered questions very quickly. The welcome in the house was warm (bottle of wine, bowl with fruits, ….), the house was in a quiet residential area, we always felt safe. The house was well maintained, clean and had plenty of space, the kitchen and bathrooms were in very good condition. Useful appliances such as coffee maker, microwave, toaster, large fridge, dishwasher and washing machine were aviable. Nearby were shopping possibilities as well as a bank (few feet away). Driveway to the highway in a few minutes by car. There were no complications, we enjoyed the stay very much.

Totally Tuned in to Guests' Needs

I am looking forward to another stay the next time that my family visits family in Detroit. It seems that Roy anticipated every need of his guests including aesthetics.The house was immaculate with a calming decor. He even provided a lovely bottle of wine as well as spices and condiments for cooking (which we did not do LOL as their are nice restaurants nearby.) My grandsons enjoyed the foosball game in the basement. Kudos, Roy. P.S. The screen on the screened in porch was torn. I texted Roy and he had someone fix it within the hour so that we could enjoy the porch sans mosquitoes. We especially appreciated his quick response.

Perfect setup and location for our family visit

Roy is such a great communicator and host. He even came by on a snowy holiday evening to shovel snow off the walk!!! The house was super clean and had more than every amenity we needed. Very comfortable bed, great kitchen and lives in just like the photos show. The towels are even nicer than my own!!!! The laundry machines were convenient for our long stay; would have been a hassle at a hotel. We absolutely hope this home is available for future stays while visiting family in Michigan.

Excellent Place to Stay!!!

Came in to town for the Bears/Lions game. The home was located about 20 mins from downtown in a very quiet, very nice nieghborhood. Roy was very friendly and the accommodations were excellent. Home was very clean, updated appliances and cabinets. Beds very comfortable as well. We had a issue with the air mattress and Roy came over with a new one right away. Would definitely recommend this property and owner.

Wonderful home, great location

We were in MI visiting family and Roy's house was centrally located to all the places we needed to go (it's also only minutes from the Detroit Zoo, which we visited on this trip). The house itself was very clean, the interior was well decorated and Roy was outstanding in his communication with us. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone travelling to the area and we will look for this place first the next time we need to rent a place to stay in this area! Thanks again Roy!

Another great experience!

This is our second summer in a row staying at this great house with my family and it now feels like coming home. My kids look forward to it and it's so much less stressful knowing I don't need to do the research to find a great place to stay each year. Perfect location, great area, super comfy beds and Roy makes sure you are well taken care of at every turn. The expansion of the upstairs half bath to a full is wonderful! We will be back.

Perfect house, lots of space, great location.

We were in Michigan for a family wedding and this house was perfect. It was updated, clean, comfortable, and centrally located to everything and every highway. It was so easy getting to and from this house. We truly loved it. I would stay here again. It was so nice to have a nice clean bed for each of us separately. Great Stay!

Roy was a great host. Greeted me and kindly walked me through the property. Also, was flexible and quick in his response to my questions when needed. Best accomodations in Detroit

We've stayed at various hotels in Detroit. The Bungalow is better than all of them. Will definitely return. Roy is a gracious host with drinks and snacks provided upon arrival. The beds and bedding are very comfortable. The screened in porch is a great place to relax. The kitchen, dining area, and living area are spacious and comfortable. The upstairs master with 3/4 bath is large and roomy. The neighborhood is quite, close to the zoo, and a reasonable distance to downtown and the Henry Ford.

Great clean home, centrally located!

We had the pleasure of staying in this home during Thanksgiving week. Roy was a great host, made sure we had everything we needed, very nice, spacious, clean home. We had to travel around a little due to my sons hockey schedule, and this home's location was central to all our stops. There is a fuze ball table in the basement, kids had hours of fun playing. The kitchen was very well equipped, there are restaurants close by, but we cooked the whole time we were there. Thanksgiving for our family was truly memorable, we were all able to stay together and celebrate the holiday, great times! We would definitely rent again.

Great place in the burbs

The house was PERFECT for us. Plenty of space, grocery stores close so that we could hang out together at the house, but easy access to the highway so we could explore the greater area. This is definitely a place that you need a car to get around, but then again it is Motor City! My kids picked tomatoes in the garden that we used in our meals; the big television was perfect to watch a game and put our feet up after participating in the International Half Marathon and Roy was great, easy to work with, and ready to be helpful. I'd definitely consider staying here again if we make it back to the area.
