Great set up. Wish it had a vent for cooking had to open the door. The single bedroom gets super hot at night. Internet went out day two due to switch my son flipped but it was ok! Unplugged from social media was nice. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

WOW..describes this wooded paradise. To be honest it was our best escape ever! Ten days fishing and surrounded by nature. Our uncle showed up at our home for a month long visit unexpectedly…no problem, bring him along! Our pet sitter cancelled the night before we left…no problem, bring them along too! Sara was AMAZING to communicate with. The internet connection was fried in a bad storm before we arrived so we had no signal; we didn’t care at all. No TV, no cell phone, no WiFi…who needed all that distraction…we didn’t! We picked up a Hotspot in town and we were good to go by day five. Sara immediately offered to reimburse us for the Hotspot. The whole experience was amazing and we can’t wait to return. That is something we have never done before! It was that great a trip.

The house was exactly what I expected. My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and it was nice to escape the craziness of life in the quiete northwoods. Colors were nice. We did the Turtle Point hiking trail which is a nice little trail. Would definitely stay here again!

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful location with a wonderful view of the lake, this is the place. Well equipped, clean and comfortable.

Great place! Very well-equipped with just about everything you could imagine for lake activities. And the kitchen was equally well-equipped to make for a very comfortable stay. A real bonus, in our opinion, was the upgraded water treatment system the owner installed to remove iron and other chemicals commonly found in other Northwoods locations. No sulfur smell or taste, no rust stains - it was great.The only issue was a little confusion trying to find the place. Our GPS (Garmin and Google both) were not much help once we were in the neighborhood. (The Google map on the VRBO website also showed an incorrect location - right lake but wrong shore.) We found the cabin pretty quickly when we ignored the GPS and followed the owner's written instructions. Glad we did - we'll be back!

Great location so quiet and secluded. The lake was beautiful and we loved hanging out on the screen porch. Very comfortable home and great for a quiet getaway.

Sara was an amazing host. Answered all our questions promptly. Lovely setting. Craig the caretaker was very helpful as well.The only negative is beware of the large frying pan if you need to turn or maneuver it at all. The handle grip slips.

We had a great stay! Loved seeing the eagles and loons. The kids had a fun time swimming by pier. The house was a perfect size and clean. We hope to stay again in the near future.

Amazing week

This is a great place to stay was clean and had everything you needed to enjoy staying in and making all the meals. Had kids from 12-16 and we all enjoyed the lake by swimming, floating, fishing, snorkeling, and kayaking. The house was clean and stocked well and we also enjoyed the screened in porch (a wonderful spot to enjoy a cup of coffee and your favorite book). Had a blast and if in the area would definitely rent again.

We enjoyed the dock and lake. My kids played with the fish amd we saw a few loons. cabin was well stocked and made "home" cooking a breeze

Great vacation property

Wonderful vacation home with very well maintained dock. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and dishes. Although we didn't grill out, both gas and charcoal grills were available. Our 1st 2 days were cold and rainy, but the cabin was warm and cozy with enough space so that we weren't tripping over each other. There were also tons of games, puzzles, books and movies available. We had beautiful weather the rest of the week and kayaked, fished, boated and hiked. We were able to rent a pontoon from Craig, the caretaker, which was great! We, as well as the caretaker, had a problem lighting the fireplace, but a call to Sara resolved this quickly. It's obvious that she wants her guests to have an enjoyable experience at her cabin. Everyone loved her home and would highly recommend it!

Made great memories!

Stayed for a week with my hubby, 2 adult sons, and golden retriever. Loved the quiet location and beautiful lake view. Relaxed, laughed, fished, and reminisced. We didn't eat out. But grilled some amazing homemade brats from Snows grocery in Mercer. Bought some to bring back home. They are gone already, thanks to my men. Craig was super accommodating with pontoon rental. Loved the easy check out. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay. We will definitely be back.

Now remarried, I live in sunny Virginia Beach, but all my best memories remain 'up north'. We get back there several times a year. The rest of the time you can find me working as a physical therapist or traveling as a volunteer PT around the world.
