About this space
Welcome to Plainville! Stay in our cozy 1 bedroom unit less than a mile from all major highways. Conveniently located near the center of town of Plainville and Southington. Walkable to a local park, brewery, restaurant, grocery store, post office, plant shop & more! In the warmer weather enjoy a book outside on the bench under the tree or wind down with our complimentary bottle of wine! A water bottle and snack for each guest will also be provided.
The space
The unit is 448 sq ft. located on the 1st floor in the 4 unit blue and white brick front building. The parking lot is behind the building off of Cianci Ave. There are about 5 stairs to the back door which is equipped with keyless entry for a smooth check-in. Keypad lock is located directly on the door. Inside there is 1 bedroom with a work area and 1 bathroom with a stall shower. The living room, dining area, and kitchen are all in one open space. Located throughout the unit are several books to enjoy a good read as well as games on the shelf in the closet.

Note: though this area of town is very safe and has an extremely low crime rate, it is not the fanciest or most updated part of town or house. This house was built in 1900 and you may find some quirks still within the space, such as uneven flooring, older cabinets, etc. Please do not reserve this unit and then write in the review anything about it not being updated. Review all the photos before deciding if this is a place for you. There will be a binder located on the counter with a list of all amenities, stores, things to do, coffee shops, hiking trails and so much more in the area.

Be mindful of check-in check-out times. If you tell us you plan to arrive at three and do not show up until 9' o'clock, realize that we may have been waiting many hours to make sure you're checked in when we could have been doing something else. We have also been running electricity and heat which is wasteful. If you are going to be late, please have the courtesy to let us know ahead of time. If you check in late we may be working and not able to respond immediately. For check-out we need time to clean for the next guests and are on a tight schedule. There are NO late check-outs. Even 15 minutes puts cleaning behind. Please prepare ahead of time to be out on time.

In the winter months heat can be turned on by the radiators. Unfortunately many guests abuse this privilege and turn the heat to the highest setting causing extremely high electric bills. This is unfair and disrespectful to a host. Please dress according to the season and treat this place like your own. When you are not in the unit please keep the heat on low. DO NOT EVER turn it on the highest setting or have it running with windows open. In the warmer months a window air conditioner will be provided for the living room. It is strong enough to cool the entire unit down. Please DO NOT keep it running while you are not home or turn the heat on at the same time. There are ceiling fans located in both bedrooms as well.

Please read all house rules and descriptions before booking. Kindly wash your dirty dishes before you leave and take out the trash so it does not create a smell in the unit. A blue recycling bin and gray trash are located out front to the right. Do NOT put trash in the recycling bin.

Smoking of any sort is NOT allowed inside the unit. Please smoke outside and clean up after yourself. An ashtray will not be provided. If there are remnants of smoking in the unit or outside an additional $100 cleaning fee will be charged.

We will welcome service pets with proof and an additional $75 cleaning fee due to the time it takes to get all the hair out of the unit. Please bring a bed or blanket for your animal. Pets are NOT allowed on furniture or blankets from the unit.
