Live near DC. The cars weaving in out on 95 and 66, horns honking when there is no where to go.... felt like I was suffocating and knew I needed some peace and quiet
Took, by mistake but in a good way, almost all back toads.
When my daughter and I reached our destination, we smiled and sighed. Warm welcome from Agnès and furry friends.
Once we entered our "George was here" retreat, we did not leave. House is a little hard to navigate if you have any physical disabilities and not all the comforts of home but pretty close. The magic moment, which turned into hours, was sitting out back surrounded in every direction , by the most amazing, serene backdrop created by mother nature and the years of hard work of Agnès and her family. The geese had a parade my way and gave quite a musical performance. The horses came up to the fence and definitely smiled at me. It is so quiet, you can hear the pecans drop to the ground from their tree. Made me realize how crazy our lives are. You need to remind yourself to just breath and appreciate the real treasures. Use all your senses!
