Welcome to Crystal City Charm, comprised of 15 well-located and spacious apartments for short- and medium-term stays. Situated in National Landing on the edge of Crystal City this location is the best of both worlds--walkable to many shops/restaurants and the Crystal City Metro as well as adjacent to the expansive Eads Park, bike trails, and to the leafy walks in historic Aurora Hills neighborhood. It’s mere minutes to Reagan National (DCA) airport (6 min), U.S. Capitol (8 min), White House/Lincoln Memorial (15 min), and Old Town Alexandria (10 min). Complimentary parking is an easy in-and-out via the private on-site parking lot.

The artwork and design elements of each unit are uniquely curated for that space but share the same design theme throughout the building Stand-out features of the unit include: business high-speed Internet, ROKU smart TVs in all the bedrooms and living rooms, top-of-the-line bedding with DreamCloud Premier mattresses, fully stocked kitchens, Nespresso machines w/pods in each unit, sectional sofas (convert to queen-size beds), and on-site laundry. Whether a business venture, couples’ trip, or family vacation our space is designed for those seeking a boutique hotel-like stay with the added apartment-size comfort.

Please note the building has a central AC/heating system. The building is currently set to cool until mid-October when it will be switched over to heating. The units contains a space heater to ensure comfort! Each room has an individual thermostat to adjust temperature.

If you have a larger group reach out to us about other units available at this location. Uber & Lyft taxis are also readily available at any time of day. Property rules: No pets and no smoking. Quiet hours after 10PM. Stays longer than 14 days may require a small deposit.

So great to walk into a lovely living space with the air conditioning on after hours of travelling. The spaces were as depicted in the photos: nice kitchen area stocked with coffee and tea and a Nespresso machine. Bonus microwave popcorn and Bubly sparkling water.Towels in the hallway near the bathroom. White noise machines in each bedroom, Large bottles of body wash and shampoo and conditioner.An easy walk to a busy street full of restaurants. 7-11 and CVS and McDonald’s nearby and a 20 minute walk up to the Crystal City Metro stop. Close to the airport and an easy Uber/Lyft ride to typical tourist places near the National Mall.There are stairs to get to the building and need to walk up two flights to the place, so that would be difficult for someone with mobility issues or big luggage.Would have liked some command hooks for hanging towels in the bathroom.Overall a great place to stay for a week!

First timer for VRBO

Very clean equipped residence. BEDS are so COMFORTABLE!!!! Highly recommend this place and location. This will be my “go to” place every time I have to work at DCA airport! Enjoyed my stay!

while the apartment was clean, it was in disrepair. The floor had been painted white and the paint had peeled off in numerous spots. The venetian blinds had slats that were broken. The stove was an old white one that looked like it was decades old. The chairs in the living area could use a good cleaning.My main concern however was SAFETY. I was given a code to the building front door and there was indeed a key pad there. But the door was always left unlocked. I asked Kristen about it and she said it was never locked and it was a safe neighborhood. As a solo traveller this made me worry. I addition, there was a safety chain on the inside of the apartment door that did not work. Again, as a solo traveller this did not make me feel safe. When I asked Kristen if it could be fixed, she said not, they did not have the resources to do so. Kristen said it was not meant to work, that it was a holdover from when the building functioned as a apartment building. She thought the dead bolt on the door was sufficient. I disagree. Another issue was the stairs. There is not elevator in the building and hauling a heavy suitcase up a set of 10 steep stairs to get to the door was very difficult. and what is described as a "path" from the parking lot is actually a series of more steps and landings. Finally the bathroom was outdated and around the taps was rust. Water temp was uneven at best. On the positive side the two king beds and comfortable linens were lovely.

Regarding your request for a financial credit, our policy is to provide compensation only if major amenities are broken or unavailable. Because the apartment was fully functional and secure, we were unable to honor a refund. We take all safety and maintenance notes seriously. To clarify the layout for future travelers, our building uses a secure, heavy-duty deadbolt on the individual apartment door, which provides full security for the unit. The interior chain lock is an un-utilized historical fixture, but we hear your feedback and will be removing it entirely to prevent future confusion. Additionally, our building entrance is situated within a peaceful, highly rated neighborhood, and access to the front door is securely within the property grounds. Following your checkout, our maintenance team inspected the property. While we confirmed the stove and plumbing fixtures are fully operational with normal hot water functionality, we have already touched up the cosmetic floor paint and updated the window slats to ensure everything looks fresh. We appreciate your insights as we continuously work to improve our guest experience.

Great location

Great location & easy access to DC & Arlington from this apartment! Is in a quieter area and the free parking was great. We loved the Indian restaurant just a few feet from the apartment complex & the park across the street. Grocery store was close by as well. Great place to relax after many miles of walking & sight seeing! Laurence was very timely and courteous with all questions beforehand and on the day of check-in.!

We would have like to have had a few more kitchen supplies. Such as aluminum foil, plastic wrap, spaghetti strainer. Food containers are handy for left overs.But overall that place was very nice.

Cute apartment

Laurence was very easy to work with before, during and after our stay. His place is 2 bedrooms and one bath. There is a living room and dining room with a full kitchen. He has done a nice job of having amenities avaiable for you. I would stay here again. It's about a 15 minute walk to Crystal City Metro. From there you can get to anywhere in Dc and surrounding area.

Apartment unit was fine

Building is difficult to identify without going around the back of the building.Parking was excellent. Building convenience is excellent right off Richmond Hiway and very close to DCA. Major shopping and restaurant row nearby.Washer and dryer are not in the unit- it is a building wide laundry which is much less convenient in the lower level.Apartment itself is clean and modern- two bedrooms plus comfortable pull out in LR.Much better alternative for a week stay if you have more than two people.

The building this apartment is located in has issues with security, hot water, and temperature control. Hot water came in and out, sometimes going very cold in the middle of a shower. At best we had 2 showers of warm water, after it took about 10 minutes to heat up once you turn on the shower. The heating system depends on very old thermostats in each room, which are inprecise and in one bedroom the heater never actually turned on. The fan that blows out the heat in the master bedroom squeals loudy, so you have to choose between loud noise or a cold room. The building door lock had been removed, and the actual apartment only has a flimsy deadbolt with no latch lock or extra way to lock the door. There are very few supplies in the apartment, no tupperware / bags / cooking spray / aluminum foil / spices / cooking oil. Everything just felt like the bare minimum effort was put into getting tenants. Owner was unresponsive for days, then I got hold the company that is managing it now apparently. Very minor effort was put into addressing these building issues (heat, hot water). Internet was fairly slow. The location is okay, bedding was okay but there are no extra blankets laying around (1 light comforter per bed). Free parking is good, but even in the winter the parking was completely full at times despite fairly low occupancy.
