The Stay

We enjoyed the property. It is a perfect distance from Disney. The communal area was great. The upstairs bedrooms need some updating. This is not a property for anyone (at any age) who has issues with stairs.

Wonderful amenities

Pool and tennis court excellent. Beautiful setting. Furniture leaves room for improvement. Unfortunately, location under runway of Charles de Gaulle so be prepared to wake up early.

What a surprising comment. We live in a different apartment at the Chateau full time, and -- being 47km from the airport -- have never been awakened by -- or even aware of -- the sound of airplanes, despite having multiple windows on three sides, windows that we keep open in the summer months. We appreciate your review and thank you for your kind comments about the setting and the amenities.

Perfect for a 4 day stop over. Beautiful setting. Fun property and plenty of fans provided for the hot weather. Comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen. Ideal to drive to Meaux and take the train 36 mins into Paris. Pool was lovely and very large. A few families were there and it didn’t feel crowded at all. Lovely owners and would definitely return to do euro disney next time. Intermarche supermarket only 5 mins away in local town. Provided sports equipment for children which was ideal and tennis court was a bonus!

With the remote location & nothing nearby open on our arrival day of Sunday perhaps consider a welcome basket on arrival with a few basics-coffee, milk, bread? Although there was no internet due to circumstances beyond the owner’s control for a few months we were not notified until 2 days prior to arrival so researching transportation, food delivery etc. which made things extremely difficult. A vehicle should not be just a suggestion.. it should be a MUST!

The property itself was pleasant, was in a good location for visiting Paris by train and Disneyland Paris. Our main reason for booking was because it had a tennis court and pool which we were looking forward to using but unfortunately could use neither- the tennis court was being cleaned which took basically the whole time we were there and the pool was out of use as they didn’t have the correct chemicals. This was very disappointing. The pool in the nearby town didn’t open till 5pm so that wasn’t very useful either. All in all the house was fine but we were disappointed by the lack of amenities.

The property needs to be described more accurately. Would suggest the description of the property is revised detailing it is not in the main chateau. It is over 3 floors with the top floor reached by steep steps with 2 double windowless bedrooms. They shared landing with a small sofa and recliner chair and a shower room. This area is dark with one small window for entire area. Water pressure upstairs was poor with 4 of us using the shower on the ground floor. There was insufficient and uncomfortable seating in the living area. The pool was an asset.

We're a bit surprised at the dour review. Yes, this is a 400-year-old historic tower with original sturdy staircases. That's how they were built in the 1600s. The stairs have solid handrails as an aid to navigation. To be clear, the renovated third floor has exposed beams with a skylight as well as a window, plus excellent bright lighting. What was reviewed as a "shower room" is actually a full bathroom with a double sink and a new toilet and shower. (Even more bathroom renovations will be undertaken after the summer season.) And the two bedrooms both have windows facing out into the large common area with comfortable seating. You also expressed a concern about water pressure. We take your comments seriously, so we just double-checked. The water pressure is solid in all three bathrooms and the kitchen, so we're a bit confused by this observation. You did nevertheless seem to enjoy the property while you were here, so we hope you were pleased by the well-preserved history of this wonderful home.

Onduidelijke voorwaarden

Mooie lokatie, leuk appartement, alles is aanwezig.Echter, toen we aankwamen was er niemand aanwezig. Andere bewoners hebben ons binnen het hek gelaten. Na een uur kwam de eigenaar om ons in het appartement te laten. Bij het vertrek kwam de schoonmaakster om contant geld te vragen voor de schoonmaak en het bedlinnen. Dit was ons niet bekend. Het staat ergens verscholen in de regeltjes. vragen voor de schoonmaak en het bedlinnen.

Onze excuses voor het communicatieprobleem. In het huurcontract staat dat bezoekers vóór aankomst contact moeten opnemen met onze beheerder, Fouzia, zodat zij hen bij de poort kan opwachten. Wij zijn echter wel ter plaatse en kijken ernaar uit u te ontmoeten als we weten dat u er bent. Wij zijn blij dat uw verblijf verder aangenaam was.

Das Anwesen war ein wunderbarer Ruhe- und Ausgangspunkt für meine drei Schwestern und unsere vier Kinder! Fouzia,Dan und Laura sind total freundliche Gastgeber und allen voran Schlosskater Jamie.Verkehrsanbindung mit Auto und Bahn war top.Nahversorgung dank Intermarché und Boulangerie war dicht und reichhaltig. Wirklich ein toller Aufenthalt mit ganz besonderem Ambiente.
