Welcome to Your Mountain Hideaway
Settle into comfort and tranquility in this stylish one-bedroom retreat at Sparrowhawk Lodge. Grab one of our cozy blankets and relax on your private, covered patio, or enjoy staying in with a fully stocked kitchen, a comfortable living room with an electric fireplace, scenic surroundings, and two Smart TVs.
Located on the second floor and west-facing, the apartment offers peaceful views of trees and nearby mountains—perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. The bedroom features a coveted King-sized Kingsdown Gold mattress, ensuring an exceptionally restful sleep. A queen-size sofa bed is available for additional guests (fees apply), and a foldable crib is provided for little ones.
LOCATION AND SURROUNDINGS:
Sparrowhawk Lodge is located in the quiet hamlet of Dead Man’s Flats, just:
10 minutes EAST of Canmore
24 minutes EAST of Banff
The lodge is ideally situated near Wind Valley and Pigeon Mountain hiking trails, with quick access to lower-elevation routes such as the Guy Lafleur Trail and the Trans-Canada Trail. Directly behind the property, you’ll find a beautiful, accessible walking path that winds along a peaceful creek—perfect for morning strolls or evening walks.
GETTING AROUND AND PARKING
Free underground parking in a secure, enclosed garage
A personal vehicle is required, as there is no public transportation from the property to Canmore or Banff
THE BUILDING (Constructed 2024)
Guests enjoy access to modern, resort-style amenities, including:
Year-round outdoor heated pool & hot tub (open daily 9am–10pm)
Fully equipped fitness gym (open daily 9am–10pm)
Secure bike & ski storage in the underground garage. Large shared storage cage. Accessed via your personal entry code. Bring your own lock for added security.
On-site liquor store (2pm–10pm daily)
Eclipse Coffee Roasters, a beloved local café serving excellent coffee and locally made treats (7:30am–5pm daily)

This thoughtfully designed one-bedroom unit blends comfort and function:
King-sized Kingsdown Gold mattress for exceptional sleep
Blackout blinds in the bedroom and on the living room window
Queen-size sofa bed for additional guests (fees apply)
Foldable crib available
The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and essentials, including:
Salt & pepper
Cooking oil
Coffee and assorted teas
Drip coffee maker and French press
We provide fresh linens and towels, as well as a hairdryer, soap, shampoo, and conditioner to make packing easy.
CLEANING AND CARE
We proudly hire a trusted local third-party cleaner. The entire cleaning fee goes directly to them. To help us keep cleaning costs reasonable for guests, we kindly ask that all checkout procedures are followed. This ensures a smooth turnover and supports our wonderful cleaner. Thank you.
MORE ON LOCATION & VIEW
Sofa Bed & Laundry Policy
Unregistered use of sofa bed linens will result in a $50 laundry fee. Please ensure your booking accurately reflects the number of guests. Registering additional guests waives this fee. If two guests use both the king bed and sofa bed linens, a $50 laundry charge will apply.
Location, View & Noise
Our second-floor, west-facing unit overlooks a peaceful natural landscape with forest views, an open field, and nearby mountain scenery. The balcony is a healthy distance from both the highway and railway, unlike many units in the Bow Valley, providing a slightly more tranquil setting. A small feeder creek flows to the North, providing a nearby nature immersion experience.
As with most homes in the Bow Valley, train and highway sounds may still be heard from the open doors, but the unit’s orientation and distance from these corridors help minimize noise significantly. We are fortunately situated slightly away from these noise sources, compared to many nearby accommodations.
