I really enjoyed my stay. The place is spacious and the view is great, i watched the sunset every night. It was a perfect place for me to stay and do a lot of biking around the islands and burlington. The hosts were very friendly and responded to any questions very quickly. Thanks so much!

Lovely adventure, lovely location, fabulous host

Our Hosts were welcoming and considerate. The kitchen is fully stocked and the bed is comfortable. We enjoyed evenings on the deck watching the sunset. The location is quiet and we enjoyed exploring New York and Vermont. We even trecked up to Montreal for the day.

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our stay on Grand Isle. The property itself was lovely and the waterfront area was beautiful. The apartment was very clean, open and airy, comfortable, and had a very well equipped kitchen. The family were great, friendly hosts and were very quick to respond to any questions. Overall a lovely stay!

What a View!

The house is very comfy! Nice kitchen & well stocked. Beautiful flower garden in the front to bring joy everyday. It would be nice to have an iron & ironing board, But the best is siting on the deck drinking one’s coffee every morning and watching all the life on the lake! It’s a fabulous view! NJFOY

Beautiful Place

I rarely give 5 stars to a rental. This place met all of my needs. The location is beautiful. You can see the lake from all the windows. I had one perfect sunset and a few beautiful cloudy ones. The apartment is very comfortable and felt like home. The kitchen is stocked with everything one needs. I came here to see what I could do on my own after a long illness. It was the perfect place to test my strength and get the rest and relaxation I needed. Betsy was very helpful and responded to requests immediately. I highly recommend this VRBO rental.

Great place to stay.

Betsy and her family are a pleasure. Always answered my texts promptly, usually immediately. Lovely place to stay. Everything we needed was there, clean well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, nice, thick towels, good tv, clean and well kept bathrooms, well maintained, beautiful garden, good parking, and quiet. On top of all that, THE VIEW IS AMAZING!

Beautiful lake view property

We had a lovely stay at this apartment on the lake. The family/owner are right next door and are lovely, kind and helpful people. Our stay was just what our family of four needed! The bedrooms being separated by the common space was key for multiple bedtimes and having air conditioning to come back to on hot days was so very nice. We also appreciated the full kitchen and the many games and books provided by the host. The back deck was so nice to watch the sunset over the lake in the evenings. Thanks so much!

Sunsets, biking and paddling!

This was a lovely home to spend a week with our parents. All one floor, each bedroom and bath are on opposite sides of the common areas. Betsy and her family are hospitable hosts!

top-notch vacation

The property was lovely -- large rooms, kitchen better than mine at home, right on the lake with gorgeous views of the sunset. Property manager on-site, but we had no problems or questions.

Beautiful & Peaceful!

The rental unit was attached to the owners house which was right on the water, beautiful sunsets every night. Privacy was an issue, however, the family tried to be respectful. My only real negative, very nice deck with great water views but could only enjoy it in the morning as we had west exposure, at noon the sun was directly on our deck until sunset. There was an awning but the owner was reluctant to use it since they just had a new roof. It was very unfortunate.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful location

Totally enjoyed our stay. The sunsets were amazing, the location was great. Perfect for our family getaway. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of live to slow down and just enjoy some peace and calmness.

Great property!

Late August on Lake Champlain

Nice, clean property with wonderful views from the deck west over the lake and to the New York mountains in the distance. Good location for activities on the island. Unfortunately, the weather was not too accommodating. Betsy and Matt, the owners, live in the attached home and were friendly and helpful.

Lovely apartment on Lake Champlain

This apartment was perfect for our needs. It was well equipped and very comfortable for 4 adults. Its location facing west on the lake made for beautiful sunsets; a great place to come home to at the end of a day of poking around the Champlain islands.

Comfy house with great sunsets

Terrific hosts who maintain a scrupulously clean and comfy home. It's a really good sized apartment with large rooms and 2 full baths which is always a treat for a lake vacation where it's quite typical to just have one full bath. The location is excellent, especially since it is elevated over the lake, providing awesome views, especially as the sun sets. Then on a clear night you can see the stars-we were there the week of the Perseid showers and we had a wonderful time watching. The kitchen is very well equipped, spacious and filled with light from the wall of windows. There's a cute little entry porch with chairs where you can remove your shoes. The exterior exceeds even the interior. There is a multi-level spacious deck (with an electric awning) with stairs down to the beach where we left our 3 kayaks for the week. There's also a dock. It was super convenient to launch a kayak whenever I wanted. The water entry does have weeds-this whole section of the bay does. Our relatives always stay in cabins a few properties down and it's just the way it is and doesn't seem to impede use of the water. I personally don't like it for swimming so I simply go under the nearby bridge and over to the east side where there are shale beaches which is what I prefer for swimming. There are lots of similar places you can drive to. There's a nice walk nearby on Pelots Point Rd (over the bridge, take a left on either of the first two roads and then right on west side rd-hard to get lost). The owners were great to deal with (even when my brother in law broke a floor lamp the second day). Very prompt responses and readily provided information and they are obviously invested in ensuring a wonderful experience. Which is just what we had. You can't go wrong here!

A slice of heaven!

This sweet apartment was a welcome gift after working from home for 4 months, the change of scenery was much needed. And what beautiful scenery we had, we spent every evening and much of our days on the deck; the sunsets were amazing! There is a awning for the hot afternoon sun that was nice to have. The apartment was very clean, spacious and comfortable, especially the couch! The bed in the master was a type of memory foam and was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Grand Isle and the islands are just magical. I am from VT and have never really been to them before. There were many great restaurants open for take out or dining in. The Blue Paddle Bistro has amazing food. Our hosts were very helpful and kind. Though they were next door the apartment and outdoor space is very private. You can swim in front of the property, however it is very weedy, as are the whole islands. Alburgh Dunes State park was the only real sandy beach we found and it was wonderful! The water in the islands is much warmer than the rest of Lake Champlain, it was 74 degrees! I highly recommend this spot for a get away and I would go back in a heart beat.
