Welcome to our light-filled, two-story Taos 3BR home, designed for comfortable stays and easy access to both the mountains and town.

Located in a quiet El Prado neighborhood closer to spectacular hiking at the Taos Gorge and a short drive to town, this light-filled home features mountain views, a private steam shower, and well-appointed living and sleeping spaces, making it an ideal base for ski days, outdoor adventures, and relaxed nights at home.

Wake up to mountain light and wide-open views, grab coffee from the Keurig bar in the primary suite, and head out to nature or into town. After a full day hiking and exploring, come home to unwind in the private steam shower, warm up by the electric fireplace, or settle in for a relaxed evening with a movie or board games.

Recently refreshed with all-new furnishings, this thoughtfully designed, immaculately kept home offers modern comforts, cozy gathering spaces, and room to spread out. The home includes a window A/C unit in one bedroom, which helps cool the upper level during warmer weather; please note there is no central air conditioning. Whether you’re traveling with family or friends, you’ll find everything you need to relax, recharge, and enjoy the quieter side of Taos.

Property was well located for our needs and rooms were comfortable with the exception of no AC. Love that there was a coffee machine on 2nd floor in main bedroom. The shower door is a very tight fit and would be better if it was a sliding door instead. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay.

Great Taos rental

The location was close to everything we had planned for our weekend: a visit to the Pueblo, walking around the plaza, and enjoying some highly-rated restaurants. The property itself was clean with comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, and everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The only issue was no AC. We realize that Taos has been historically cooler than other places in NM, but it seems like it might be time to re-evaluate no AC. This is not unique to this home—there was no AC in restaurants, shops, etc. Aside from this, great location and lovely rental. The hosts were highly communicative.

Taos Skyridge is a spacious, family-friendly, two-story town house located in a quiet building with free parking. It’s our refuge from the city, a launch pad to explore nature, and a place to be close to family & friends and to relax and recharge.

We are your hosts, Alex and David. Originally from Germany, I work in media and podcasting. David is a freelance fundraiser and non-profit consultant. We live in Los Angeles with our two sons, age 16 and 10.

I grew up skiing with my family in Germany and Austria, and wanted to pass on this family tradition to my sons. We have gone skiing across California, in Big Bear, Mammoth and Lake Tahoe. With Taos Skyridge, we fulfilled our long-held dream of a vacation home close to the slopes in winter and hiking, stargazing and river rafting in summer. And now we want to share that dream with you.

We are located just north of town in the neighborhood of El Prado with easy access to Taos Ski Valley as well as hiking, biking, climbing and river rafting. Our sunny corner unit sits at the edge of protected mesa lands with endless horizons and stunning views of the night sky. To the east is Taos Pueblo, a Native American World Heritage Site, and to the west is the Rio Grande Gorge.

With three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, our condo can accommodate large families and groups of friends vacationing together. We furnished the unit from scratch, taking inspiration from the rugged mountain landscape, golden light and starry skies. Our goal was to create a modern, cozy retreat with all the comforts of home.

From our place it’s a 20 minute drive to Taos Ski Valley and eight minutes into town. You get the best of both worlds: A private haven surrounded by nature with direct access to outdoor sports as well as the vibrant culture, galleries, restaurants and music scene of Taos.

We welcome dogs, kids, parents, grandparents, professionals, non-professionals, skiers, snowboarders, hikers, climbers, adventurers, nomads, and travelers of all kinds – if you are on your way from here to there, you are welcome. If this is your final destination for a lil’ while, you are welcome. Everyone is welcome at Skyridge Taos. So whether you’re here to explore the outdoors or to work or to play or just to sleep… come stay with us!
